I recently bought the game and some of the DLC off of the Humble Bundle. RPG Maker was running fine till I began importing music from the DLC, then suddenly it began to have a really hard time launching the test player. Beyond that, the game began to freeze up on occasion when testing. I ended up removing the DLC and the game ran perfectly again.

Any thoughts as to what's going on here?

P.S. I have owned this sucker for less than a week. So, I am rather clueless to it all.

Are you on Steam? If so the cloud has a hard time uploading huge projects, and all of that music + the RTP will make your project file big. You may want to tell Steam to desync from the cloud to stop that.

I am on Steam, but I would not call my "game" huge by any stretch of the imagination. You can beat it in like 2 minutes, lol. Would you happen to be able to point me in the right direction on how to desync?

Music files make it huge regardless of length. I hit 600 MB once I added like 2 DLC's and Steam could no longer handle it.

To desynch go to the engine, right click on the name on Steam and select properties, then go to updates, and uncheck the box for Enable Steam Cloud.

I found it still did it even after doing that so I moved my project also to a folder Steam didn't know existed (something like c:\projects works well). After that I had no more issues.

Thank you. I Truly appreciate this appreciated. I have now done this, and I will try again with the music files tomorrow.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
