Hello!

I'm trying to upload my game but people keep seem to have this problem. My game needs the file RGSS202E.dll but in the files it's RGSS104E.dll. I can't seem to find a way to fix this. I've tried uploading the .exe file when you compress the files but when you download and open it tries to block the file from opening.

Please help!

I'm not sure what your .exe would have to do with it - if the game runs on your computer, you must have RGSS202E.dll someplace. Just include it with your distributed project? Maybe I'm misunderstanding something.

So in the Game.ini file it says that I need RGSS202E.dll but the only .dll file in the folder is RGSS104E.dll and I don't have a 202E file anywhere.

have you copied any files from a different demo game?
From the name, RGSS2xxx would be the libraries for RMVX, while RGSS1xxx would be a library from RMXP.

Such a mixup can only happen if you are using scripts or exes from RMXP as a result.
and most likely it doesn't happen on playtest because the internal playtest overrides the local exe.

but you should be able to get an RGSS2xxx library by creating a new game with RMVX - if not then your engine is really messed up and needs to be reinstalled.

@Andar Thank you! I will try that later. I remember having RMXP so maybe it has something to do with that, so I’ll make a new game and see if that works!
Thanks for helping!!

After the initial success with one event, I set up four different events on the same map to detect who is in which slot in my current party, and fortunately it managed to work as intended, with the events changing image to match the party members even as I swapped their positions around in formation. This will be a great tool for immersive scene design.
Finally finished the first hand-drawn map! It took me a week, but I'm so proud!
Actual line of code I just had to write for a plugin:

return Object.keys(this._shopStock).map(key => key.split(",")).map(element => element.map(value => Number(value))).filter(key => key[0] === mapId && key[1] === eventId);
