Does Enterbrain reuse the same SE library each time, or do they make a new one for each edition?

A lot of them sound very similar, but I haven't obsessively compared them.

iirc VX/Ace/MV have mostly the same sounds, but each engine added new files withouth removing those old ones. XP had various SEs that did not make it to the newer engines. But I may be wrong since I do not have MV nor 2000/3. Only thing I recall of 2000/3 is it having a jungle BGS.

They reuse SE from 2k/2k3 and add a few ones to the mix. MV has a slew of new sound effects that can be found on the Base Resources folder and extra folders that you can find in dlc folder in Steam or extra downloads when you receive a new key. MV is the biggest because it had to be divided into half as to not hamper new project times.

Okay, cool. I have MV, and was wondering if there was any point getting really old versions on discount just to raid their library of sfx.
