I'm making a turn based RPG game during my free time, and since I'm having hard time finding an artist to help me I decided to make my own art. As someone with zero pixel art skills, scratch that... zero art skills, I really would appreciate the feedback. I will update this post with more art over next few months to come as I make art for this game.

In the game you will be able to choose hair styles and equip different gear, this is why character is naked, bald and has nipples.

Update (05/10/16)
Attack Stance animation: (6 frames)

Character here will hold a weapon and is ready to fight an enemy.

Casting Spell, Casted spell (12 frames, 6 frames)

Character here casts a spell, the first animation is the casting, that will be on loop depending on cast time of the spell. AKA nipple rubbing. Afterwards the raise hands part is the animation when spell is casted.

Death (6 frames)

Slash attack (6 frames)

I hope this will look good once I add weapons.

Background

Additionally I have started working on the background for the fight scene.

I'm having too much fun with this.

Update (11/10/16)

I've done small updates on character legs animations which I will update gifs above later. I'd like to share some of the work in progress on the character gear:

Update 03/11/16:

I've been mainly programming the gear system but did a little art on enemy character and weapons. Here is my progress so far:

First enemy (Goblin) in Battle Stance animation

Attacking with weapons: (sometimes it misses 1 frame of swing weapon swing because of gif conversion)

Thank you for the feedback :)

I think it looks pretty decent for a beginner. I love pixel art graphics and the simplicity of it, so many good games made with it like Moon Hunters, Valhalla and Hyper Light Drifter. Keep it up, friend!

Your animation looks really good for someone with 'zero art skills', I especially like the animation on your character's arms. ^^

As much as I love them nipples, though, the placement is a bit off. They're almost at the center of the chest.

I've taken two frames from your animation here.

The legs need a bit of work, I think. The right leg looks good, because it bends well and into the viewer's direction, although according to this perspective I'd remove a pixel from the tip of the foot to help more with perspective.

In the lowest stance the left leg should be bent a bit more, though, since the viewer looks at the side of the leg. When comparing both pictures the left calf looks like it's just being compressed as it grows and shrinks. I know this is a common animation technique, but to me this always makes the animation look rubbery and boneless. ^^;

Only the left foot gains and then loses a pixel during the animation (see 2nd picture). On the other hand your character's chill stance adds a pixel to the top of both feet. Maybe you could remove those altogether?

I'm looking forward to seeing more nipples progress soon. :3

You are right, hard to see it once I've been staring at it for a while. I'll make those changes to the legs/feet and hopefully it will look less compressed. Thank you very much for the feedback. Don't worry, this is not the last art nipples you have seen from me.

Like others have said your actually ok at it.  To improve you can try looking at characters or people and "turning" them into sprite art by looking at them.  Or try to copy another sprite.  The more you do it, the better you'll get!

@KayZaman I know. And that death animation, because of the speed, looks like he's doing the worm. It actually is pretty good animation, though.

@CodeRad Um, not entirely sure why the "rub nipples" command exists or what it does, nor do I know why he's in his underwear, but you're far better than you give yourself credit for.

I am not going to lie, I'm not a big fan of this "kind" of pixel-art. But to be honest, if you really do have "zero art skill", then you're off to a good start, since I find the animations quite decent and even good!
