Do we have the right to use RPG Maker's DLC on other engine or Youtube clip?

I suddenly have this idea.
Basically, when buying these music DLCs on rpgmakerweb.com, they say to me that these DLCs use for RPG engines ( RPG Maker; Visual Novel maker)

However, I wonder if we have the legal to use the same DLCs ( music; battlepack;...) on other engines like Game Maker, Unity, and especially is when creating clips for Youtube?

I have this idea when making several video clips ( upload on Youtube). It cost me much time to find the free music for my clip. While I actually bought very many music DLC on rpgmakerweb.com already.

So, do we have legal to use RPG maker's music to make Youtube's video clips????

If it says for use in RPG Maker or Visual Novel Maker "only", then you can't use it in other engines or Youtube clips. If you do, the creator can have your content taken down.

depends on the specific DLC in question.

There are a few (very few) DLCs that allow the use in any maker, but most DLC are exclusive to the RPG-Maker-Family (basically all Degica-distributed programs).
So you'll have to check the EULA of the specific DLC you're interested in.

As for videos it depends on the content - let's plays of specific games would count like screenshots and be allowed. Use outside of games is again dependent on the specific DLC.

However in the first case you can also read the confirmation of that in the text description itself, the very last line:
For use in RPG Makers, Visual Novel Maker or the engine of your choice

Unfortunately sometimes the texts are not updated correctly or mistaken - the other two packs for example still refer to IG Maker, a program that has not been available for a decade or so.

Classic Fantasy can be used in any game engine. Youtube is not a game engine. The others can only be used in RPG Maker / Indie Game Maker (and likely Visual Novel Maker - I imagine those were released before VNM came out)


So no, you can't use any of those as audio tracks for your youtube videos. Only if your video IS of you creating or playing a game that uses them.

I've seen some history videos on Youtube that use background images from RPG Maker. Guess they are just lucky to get away with it.

Yes, there are a lot of people doing things that breach the EULA. "Someone else is doing it" is never a reason to do it
