In truth, I'm a very competitive person and I really hate to lose. I find it difficult to admit my own wrongs and mistakes and I also hate when others point that out. Anyway, thats how I sometime am.

How about you. Do you hate losing and why?

I'm somewhat an arrogant and prideful person, so definitely yes (even if I keep it for myself).

But you must be able to accept defeat and learn from it, it's childish to argue, at least this is what I think.

Losing is not an option.

Actually not. I don't hate to lose. What I hate is knowing that I didn't do my best.

Though full of smiles

upon meeting your whim,

a raging inferno indeed burns within.

Despite all the pleasantries, despite all the grins,

Don't kid yourself, Sparky,

I wanted to win.

>>>I don't like to lose. I can take it, but I sure don't like it. [Yes, I wrote a bad poem just for the sake of this post.]<<<

I don't like losing, but I always felt that if you win a whole lot then you become weak and arrogant.

If I lose then I just shrug it off and move on to win next time because losing is an experience that everyone needs to feel to be complete because it shows that you are not the best and there will be always some stronger than you.

I can lose honorable but I cant lose if I get too far and if I do i explode and rage out and try and win even if im close to losing i wont stop winning or pretending to lose because if I get far enough and fail i fail hard and basically quit that for a day then get back in like a phoenix reborn and getting ready to strike back...

Who can only say they don't hate losing? The feeling of disappointment, the feeling that you didn't give it your 100%, the feeling of jealousy that courses through your veins when you are put next to your peers in the same category....yeah, who can say they don't hate losing?

I'm pretty sure everyone hates to lose; although, if it's something that I feel that I'm good at, and yet I still lose, it really pisses me off. I am smart enough to know that I can learn from my mistakes and that there is always someone better than me at anything I do. I think the only time I don't hate losing is when it's at something I know I'm not good at so I don't really try and just have fun with whatever it may be.

Well, I really don't mind losing in most things.

What bothers me is to be ignored.. I don't even really mind if I'm acknowledged and recognized for doing a poor job at times..

It may have something to do with the fact that any time I enter anything I'm not satisfied with my performance and what I put into it, so I expect to lose and winning is just a pleasant surprise on the rare occasion it happens.. I'm weird like that I suppose. >.>;

Winning or losing doesn't matter, as long you have fun while doing it~ :)  (Unless you're in Krahplakk...Futurama colosseum, where losing = virgin for life, and winning = death by snoo-snoo)

The only time I hate losing is when playing online and my team is made up of absolutely horrendous people and all you hear is non-stop trash talk.  It's why I stopped doing PvP in MMOs and playing games like LoL.

Yeah I hate losing! Sometime people get lucky or fluke a win over me. If it's anything video game related I will win... The people who know me already know it. I will stay up 56 hours straight until I am the best of the best, of the best.  Superior speed, superior reaction time is all you need. The ability to outsmart simple minded brains is my specialty. I take losing mighty hard. I have the bad "sportsman ship" title in just about everything I do (telling the truth). I can't stand losing. It's means some idiot got lucky (mostly true). So I rip into them, then beat them, then rip into them some more. Make them feel like crap & wish they never met me.

I remember at an RM site far far away, it had an arcade with 35 games. I was 1st place in 33 of those games. True story. Losing is not a option, I don't play for fun, and never cheat. Then there's this phrase: "there always someone better." Not true in my case. I'll make sure of that.

More serious response.

It depends. If its something I'm good at, I can be super competitive, I don't like losing at something I know I have skill in. On the other hand, if its something I've never really practiced and don't care about... meh, I'll just have fun. If I lost its no big deal.

I'm smart, and I'm coordinated, but I can't be good at everything. Getting mad because someone beat me at something when I'm not very good at it and don't care about being good at it is just a waste of time.

@Hybrida, the difference between you and me, is that while my arrogance is a joke, I myself am not.

(On top of a lot of other differences.)

Even in the back row, I always lose.

I hate losing and I hate having my party members tell me that I'm the one that uses the most revive potions...

I'm normally pretty fine to swallow my pride with most things.

I had a flatmate who was the complete opposite though. I remember I was playing Mirror's Edge trying to match the WR times for the speedruns - managed to do pretty much all of them, and then I wake up the next morning and he's sitting (hasn't slept) on the PS3 and rather nonchalantly goes 'oh hey man, I beat all your times, just was looking for something to do LOL'. Like he just could not lose anything. And it wasn't even a competition my god.

Like lose in life? Oh yea who doesn't lol. But when i'm playing video games I find it a mixed. If im having a battle and i'm not focused and end up getting defeated then no I don't get mad, but if im focused and think i'll win and still lose then yeah I hate it:(

Nah, not really. I'm usually disappointed for a second, but then I just shrug it off and congratulate or joke around with the winning team.

It's no biggie since we all know those bastards cheated anyway it's all in good fun, and that's what matters most to me. :D

I do remember back in middle school, there were always these two guys who were SUPER competitive in my gym class, and were total jerks about it.

One of the guys would always be super loud and brag about how they're winning, but whenever someone on his team messed up,

he'd yell at them and say how much the team sucked.

I eventually found out the two guys were betting $10 on EVERY game, which is a lot of someone who wasn't able to get a job yet.

For God's sake, it's gym class. No one cares. :|

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
