Number Munchers. At school. On an Apple II GS. On a VGA screen if I was super lucky. Monochrome if not lucky. I liked the green ones more than the yellow or white.

I started pc gaming about 10 years ago, so I'm thinking Fate from wildtangent games, or maybe Silk Road, an old MMORPG.

Edit: There were pc games well before those but my gaming memory is filled with N64, Gameboy, Dreamcast, PS1, etc...

It's gotta be Monkey Island 1 or Day of the Tentacle or Sam and Max or Damage Incorporated or Thinking Things Collection 2, then I was "upgraded" to stuff like Zoombinis, Marvis Beacon Teaches Typing (for kids), a mathsy puzzle game and Step On It, Solitaire, Tomb Raider 1...

I do not know which is the earliest, but if you grab the first that came out chronologically, that should get you pretty close - I am going to guess Prince of Persia.

F-22 ADF and Homeworld 2. Gameplay for F-22 on the spoiler (can't find footage from the original version of HW2).

I've also played Heart of Darkness.

I've tried several the same day, on a computer (a Thomson TO7) at school.

One was called Tridi 444 and was a Connect 4 type of game, played with an optical pen.

I can't remember all of them, but there were plenty of games I played when I first started using a computer. The ones I can remember at the moment are probably Sonic R (racing game,) Aladdin: Nasira's Revenge and Virtual Cops. I think Virtual Cops is the very first. Other than that, there are plenty of online games, the ones I currently remember are Ronin and Ghost Motel. XD On RPG-level, it's definitely Aveyond.

Not really. At least not the first one. I never had a computer growing up, but I do remember playing things like Math Blasters, Oregon Trail, and Putt-Putt at school and the library. I also remember playing a lot of Minesweeper and various I Spy games on my aunt's computer!

The earliest one I can remember is The Incredible Machine. My dad had brought home a computer he was repairing for someone and we tested it afterwards with this game. I'm not sure exactly how old I was, but it ought to be before I was 5. I was truly amazed.

EDIT:okay, looking at the release date for this (1993), I might have been 6 or 7. My memory is a bit fuzzy. It still was a while back, though. I was basing my original calculation around the idea that I don,t think we had our SNES yet and I thought we got it at 5 years old christmas, but maybe we already had a SNES (I doubt it) or I was older when we got the console. Anyway, who cares, right? :p

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
