Amongst my research I have found these sites:

BMTMicro.com

http://indiegamestand.com

Is there really an urge for a distribution website, or ability to sell your game easily?

I am looking for a project, and if it's not this it'll be my own game.

Let me turn your question around - assuming you have a game to sell, and prefer your own little storefront over something like Indiegamestand or Steam - how much traffic are you realistically expecting?
The reason (well, one of them) why it's great to get your game on one of the big distribution hubs is that the game will show up in an insanely huge chunk of your potential customer base's newsfeed. Meaning more people will consider buying - and subsequently buying - your game. Trying to sell your game on your own little webshop, with only two or three products and no advertising budget is pretty much the equivalent of setting up a small lemonade stand in a back alley... Not particularly profitable.

Asking people if they want the ability to sell their game easily is a bit of a non-question.  The answer is bound to be yes.  Who, seriously, is going to say "no, I want it to be difficult to sell my game."?  I think the more immediate question I have as a seller is: exactly what would you bring to the table in terms of experience, knowledge, skills and resources, which would ensure that you are a trustworthy partner to take money from other people on my behalf?

On the issue of being another BMT, I think you appear to be underestimating the complexity of what you are suggesting.  I have listed some of those issues in this post.

There are many sites and platforms where you can sell your game. In the blogpost linked in my signature, I offer a file that has a collection of them. My answer to your question is: the more, the merrier. But before producers really want to use your platform, you need customers and a good system. And to get customers, you need a good system and good games. If you offer quality, then yes, I want you to  build a selling platform.

You still seem to be confusing the purpose of a distribution website and a payment provider.

Many websites can help you distribute your game. They do not handle payments for you. You have a payment provider, set your game up on THEIR site, then send the link to distribution sites who will sell the game for you. They are two separate entities.

The ones who DO combine the two functions are the likes of Steam and Big Fish Games. They are both HUGE companies with HUGE customer bases. It will be a long, long time before you can hope to compete with them. And as far as payment providers, if I were about to sell my first game, I would choose someone well established to go through, not a startup.

If you are choosing between this and a game as a project, I would very strongly point you towards the game.

Do you say that because there is enough of these type of resources in circulation?

Which type - distributors or payment processors?

There are plenty of both, but if you offer as-good-as-or-better than what's already on the market, there's no reason you shouldn't succeed. It's just going to be tough for a newcomer to compete with the pros, because they have the experience and reputation.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
