I've searched previous forums, could not find precisely what I was looking for.
Despite following Yanfly's Doodad instruction, the doodad plugin is not showing up in my plugin menu.

I have:
- RPG maker MV 1.6.2.
- Yanfly's Core Engine plugin.
- Doodads.json inside your project's 'data' folder
- doodads' folder inside of your project's 'img' folder
- and doodads within the doodads folder.

Likely a simple answer, but I'm stuck at this point and any help would be amazing. Thanks team.

Doodads.json is not a plugin, it's more like a data storage.
When you're using character maker, it also saves the data as json.
Json is different from js file. Usually a plugin's format is js, not json.

On Yanfly's web, there are 2 downloadable files:
-Doodads.json file
-Doodad Starter Pack

Have you downloaded the latter?
I believe the plugin is somewhere inside that starter pack.
Hope it helps. :D

Thanks so much for the quick reply. I downloaded both downloadable files, both only have the ".json" with no ".js" files to be seen. Maybe it's a plugin I have to buy now?

Never mind...answered my own question...it's a plugin on a pack I have to buy.
Thanks again!

So the concept for my Game Jam project is way more than I can complete before the deadline. But I think I found a way to get the core done and make the incomplete parts either not really noticeable or make them a part of the story for now. That sneaky, dastardly Krampus! Then I can complete the rest. Did I mention that this is fun?
I've been working on a game called "Eternal Sunset". Is there anywhere here i can "show it off" maybe? Wondering what others think.
What do you do when there are lots of offers online but you don't have even a slight chance of ever playing those myriads of games?
Ugh, mispelled my username.
