still working on the game now its got a great ammo system from a script written by someone called Synthesize I plan to have a demo out by Christmas. What I am finding is the hardest thing right now is writing I am still looking for a writer I got 1 already but he doesn't write as much as I would like so if anyone want to help that would be great basically what I want is documents and logs left by scientists and troops stationed on the mars base things like the stuff found in resident evil just send me what ever you write whenever you want and I will put it in the game you will be in the credits of course thanks

I have been trying to give the game a new hud I figured have the big gray bar at the bottom of the screen with no stats on it was kinda ugly and i really wanted a map so after searching around online I found a fantastic map script but since it was at the bottom of the screen and I don't know enough about scripting to move it it gave me another reason to get rid of the old HUD anyway i have a problem I was hoping I could create a simple event which said if the player is holding a weapon show a picture of the weapon on screen like you can see in this picture but if i go into battle the picture stays so does anyone know of a simple script which tells rpg maker to erase the picture before a battle?

Need a someone to test your game? I first mapped for doom when I was like less than six years old I think and it is one of my all time favorites.

Nah, I should probably just wait your game to come out. Keep up the good work.

hello everyone first i would like to apologize for any delay in response but I took along break from this project because I felt that despite putting a ton of effort in I really was not making the game i wanted to make the biggest problem i found was with my own lack of ability as a writer in a rpg more than any other type of game construction you are basically a author your writing an interactive story and my writing was so infantile it would drive me nuts that I would write a scene and not only would the spelling and grammar be awful but it would sound like it was just written by a child not just that but the game-play was not fun I found having the enemy's move in the map would cause the game to crash so instead I would have to do random battles which soon became repetitive I am sure if enough time was spent on it the combat could be made into something but at the moment it is still a mess like writing I found I was not that good at creating a a rpg combat system I don't know if it is a dyslexic thing but my talents lay mostly in the graphical end of things anyway the point i am trying to make is I don't know if I want to carry on with the project I started using a tool called construct 2 to make a plat-former a type of game i find much easier to make so I thinking of uploading the whole project for everyone to use I have a ton of custom doom tilesets for the 2d areas and 5 or different types of 3d dungeons nearly all the enemies are animated and quite a few weapons so if anyone is interested just say so and I will upload it

well hey, if you need any resources, I can easily obtain them from the DOOM Wad's


I might suggest looking into the story of doom II and doom I as they contain a few lines of text between some levels that may help you create a story.


if you ever get stuck, they created a few Novels in the 90's and they are a good read if you want to get your creative juices flowing
