Hi, so, I've run into a bit of a snag... See, I want an item that, when equipped, doubles the EXP for the entire party. Right now, however, I've only been able to figure out how to do it where one person gets the double EXP.

...That's not very helpful for grinding. :hswt2:

I tried rummaging through the forums, and I couldn't find a solution that doubles the EXP for the entire party, as opposed to just one person. Does anyone have any ideas?

I think you could do that with the ex-param and select EXP,
100% is regular, 200% is double, you can make an item out of that.

But I dont know if it counts for the full party though.
there was a way I readed, because someone asked that on this forum,
but on EXP and GOLD drop to be doubled in a commen event.

You'd probably have to either have the item add a state which gives everyone under it double EXP, though that state will be lost if anyone is ever KO'd, or resort to plug-ins for this. My guess is you'll need a plug-in. Or you could just let the party find multiple of the item and equip it on everyone you want to give 2x EXP to as well.

Moved to Plug-in Requests due to probably needing a plug-in to do this.

@ShadowDragon Yeah, that's what I have right now. It only works for one person. I could try a common event, but I'm not sure exactly what eventing I would need to do in order to get it to work.

@bgillisp I would love a plugin for this, honestly. Wish I had some programming knowhow so I could magic all my glitches away. XD

If you do not want to go the plugin route, you could run a common event in parallel and constantly check to see if that item is either equipped by any of the party or simply in the inventory of the party. Then you could add a state to the entire party that gives double the amount of EXP.

Code:
◆If:Party has EXP Orb
  ◆Change State:Entire Party, + Double EXP
  ◆
:Else
  ◆Change State:Entire Party, - Double EXP
  ◆
:End
Or if you want to check if anyone in the party has the item equipped ...

Code:
// You can use $dataArmors[itemId], or $dataWeapons[itemId]
◆If:Script:$gameParty.isAnyMemberEquipped($dataArmors[1]);
  ◆Change State:Entire Party, + Double EXP
  ◆
:Else
  ◆Change State:Entire Party, - Double EXP
  ◆
:End
Probably better as a plugin, though.

While complicated, you could use Yanfly's Auto Passive State and Passive State Conditions to set up the entire party having a specific state if any actor is equipped with the accessory (and you could go further to check if that actor is also in the party). It's effectively similar to what Ossra posted except there isn't a constant common event happening.

However, another plugin you could look into is Yanfly's Utility Common Events so the common event that checks whether the item is equipped only happens when you leave the menu. Might be the simplest option, you just have to be careful about where else players can change equipment.

Thank you for the reminder :)

You could combine these with Yanfly's Aura Plugin found here:

Yeaaahhh... That is pretty complicated. I prefer not to have too many steps when it comes to this sort of thing, because I mess things up fairly easily... :rswt I would really prefer it if someone would whip up a quick, five second plugin that just lets me put in a command in the Note tag, and just does exactly what I want.
