You cannot buy Ace Lite, because it's free - you either downloaded it or purchased a different program.

That said, you need to increase your windows screen size to 1024x768 or above - and if you have only a small notebook with a very small monitor, then you can't use the program, 1024x768 is the absolute minimum.

Give us your computer specifications if you're unsure what is going on or believe that the error message is wrong

Can you try what happens if you change the resolution to one of the other options? 1366 is a very strange resolution number.

Other than that, it might be that the Lite was damaged during download - can you try to redownload and reinstall?

I could be mistaken, but are you using anything that upscales stuff? Some of the buttons (bottom right for example) look comparitively large.

(These instructions are for Windows 10 based off your screenshot)

Ah! I had this too.

Rick click on the deskop and click 'Display Settings'

Sroll down, there should be this slider, set it to the bottom so it says 100% like mine.

Click Apply and you should be good to go!

Yes, I wondered the same thing. If you increase your DPI settings to enlarge the text, it actually enlarges everything, and causes the resolution of your window to be lower than actually stated.

No, the wrong DPI setting would only result in part of the window being outside the screen.

That error message can only happen if the command to check the graphic mode returns an false - or an illegal answer to the program.

Since it happens when a regular screensize larger than the minimum is set in the driver, it means that the editor believes the answer of the driver to be wrong as in not readable.

That is a compatibility problem that should not happen in regular procedures, which means either the program is damaged (can't be since he tried different downloads already) or that the specific driver installed in the computer gives an answer that is unreadable to RM.

Which brings us back to the really strange resolution supported by the computer.

My best guess at the moment is that the computer is a special netbook/notebook where the manufacturer programmed a special unique driver to support that specific screen size and forgot to keep all older functions correct.

What I would try to do in this case is override the graphic driver with a general Intel Graphics driver, but that has a small chance of installing a wrong driver if you don't know exactly what you're doing, and in that case the entire windows would fail to display until the correct driver is installed - which is difficult to do without a screen unless you (again) know exactly what you're doing.

So I can't give that advice unless there is someone around with professional computer knowledge to handle that personally at that computer.

Aaaaactually, that's not true.

I have 1366x768 resolution.

If I set the scaling to 125%:

And if I set the scaling back to 100%:

Then they changed that function in windows 8 or 10, because up until win7 I have seen multiple cases where it happened like I described it.

Okay, but the OP is on Windows 10 so I was saying that in this situation at least, DPI is most likely the problem because I have had exactly the same issue before with my 1366 res and high DPI by default.

I can tell from the screenshot, the scaling is off and is most likely why Ace is not loading.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
