Welcome to Dragon Dawn, it is a game type RPG, develop exclusively under RPG Maker MV. It was born a few years ago I started then starting under RPG Maker 2k3, and I had started this project without ever finished it ... What a mess? Not at all, all these years of reflexions allowed me to refine my scenario and the approach that I wanted for this game.
As much as to say to you right away, that we will use only RPG from RPG Maker MV, there is really something to do with this little jewel that it would be a shame to take it private and you will see it is Aurore who Busy with all the cards! You will not be disoriented!


Scenario:



Chapter I: Saan

Saan was a Demon, the creation of the god Uil, he was for a long time his greatest servant. At the creation of the world, Saan had been rejected by his own, different from the first events, he was immediately distinguished as a demon, he coveted riches and powers more than anything else, and paid at the price of blood, every being Standing on its way.



Saan was powerful, he was the elder of Uil, he had inherited a great majority of his power, nevertheless his brothers Mafar, Phelor and Cammy had never doubted their capacity, their intelligences adorned to the Strength of Saan, and Uil considered them, much more than for his elder.
Caught up in jealousy, he wanted at all costs to have control over the new world, which was then only in its infancy, it was necessary to wait for the arrival of Venma, high priestess and first daughter of Mafar, to see the Light appear . She decided to clear up the shadows so that everyone could find her way. And shortly after, roads were traced.
Saan decided at all costs to put an end to all the actions his brothers had put in place. When they erect mountains, he destroyed them, when they slipped rivers, they drained them, leaving no trace of life in his path.


Tired of all these vile actions, Mafar made the decision to end the life of Saan. In rage, he left alone, his swordfish held firmly with both hands, each step crushing little by little the freedom of Saan, and when they were face to face, the world was marked, and still today the traces of this Cataclysm are still visible, and will remain so forever. Mafar did not survive a painful battle, and Saan had used necromancy in order to keep alive in the face of such ferocity. He was now caught between two worlds. That of the dead, and that of the living.

Phelor, Camy, and Venma took advantage of this weakness, and banished him forever from the depths of Hell. An asylum that never should have ended ...

Venma was tall, slender, and her big silver hair let herself drag along the ground, never dirty, brushing her hair was like inheriting a blessing and all the Light of this world.



It took decades to rebuild the damage of Saan's cataclysm, and she had made the decision to channel the Light into a large ball of energy that overhangs the world, so that the darkness never come back.

Unfortunately, at the bottom of the world, even the biggest of lights could not warm the hearts dry.

She had two sons Zaardy the eldest and Danrid, who helped her build the world.
As for Phelor and Camy, they had then seized power over the whole new world, and guided with an iron hand all the living beings. Struggling every moment to contain the darkness that still raged in the bottom.

The years passed and the union that made the strength of this family was put to the test. Uil, who had never before interfered in the affairs of his children, plunged into the new world in a torrent of flames, for through the Light of Venma all that was darkness was consumed so that no demon could ever make reappearance , But Uil was not a Demon, he was the creator, and never followed light did not need it. And no fire could consume it. He was beyond all that, nevertheless, it remains written that in appearances and because of the Light of Venma it appeared like a great incandescent silhouette.

They do not judge them either by their appearance or by their actions, but by their motives.
His decision was taken instantly, and when he left the new world, the Light of Venma was consumed by the darkness.
Powerless in the face of this she died of exhaustion trying to bring back the light on the Lands she had named Vidie in honor of a dragon then still unknown to all.

Vidie was an ancestral Dragon, the only one that ever existed on the lands of the New World. Then created by Venma during the cataclysm, she had plunged him into a sleep so deep that only the cries of the heart of the new world could awaken her.
Vidie was, for Venma created the Light, when she saw the greatness of her world, the amount of darkness that covered her, she had the idea of appealing to the fiery breath of an ancestral dragon in order to illuminate her lands , She had then channeled all the firepower of Vidie, in an enormous ball of energy, and when her work was completed, she plunged it into a deep sleep. She was then the guardian of the land, and hope never to see her wake up.




While He had extinguished the burning fire in his one and only sojourn, the world would die in the darkness, then the Dragon awoke.

An earthquake was perceived on all the surface of the world, Phelor and Camy, to seek in vain the provenance of cataclysm.
Burying in the depths of darkness Saan was caught with a smirk, he felt an imminent catastrophe.
A cry of terror interrupts the tremors, it is then that Vidie emerged from under the earth and took a flight which overhang the whole of the new world then always in the darkness.
She was heading for the now-extinguished ball of energy that once lit up the whole earth, and a great breath of fire revived her.
It was then that Uil made an apparitions, no one could oppose him. To break one of its decisions, would bring serious consequences, and it was the case.
Uil took the head of Vidie, his hand was 5 times the size of the dragon. Stopping at the same time the breath that revived eternal fire. And with one stroke, the life of Vidie, which crashed at the top of a cliff.




Part of the world was still plunged into darkness as the other left, now benefiting from the new fire of the energy ball, the only vestige of the last breath of the ancestral dragon. Uil decided it would be so. Darkness and Enlightenment will live in the same world ...






Characters



 

Dragon Dawn is first of all Allias, his main character, whose skills will only grow with time,
First scout under the flag of the Elf Force. He quickly found himself at the heart of the battles and took the lead in the fall of Saan.
Coming from a wealthy family, his combat skills are special because he adapts his skills to the types of weapons with which he fights.
Gifted with moral sense, it is an essential element in the future of the new world of Vidie, because the beginning of its history begins just after the fall of the Ancestral Dragon.



New * - Arcane Master : Zuyle is an analyst in the ranks of the Elf force, who for a long time remained behind her grimoires and enchantment, she was sent to the front to bring her support against the " Daughter of Cammy, she is very far from the upper bourgeoisie, and preferring to be initiated into the magical arts rather than into pure and hard struggle.
His skills of support allow to improve the attacks or defenses of his allies, and his skills of "Cri '" make it possible to alter the mental state of the enemies.
All its strength lies in its energy points, which it can convert into action points for its allies, be careful not to abuse it.






Features




Mercenaries are characters you can use to help you in a quest. For a certain amount of money, he will follow you for a day.
Their levels adapt to yours, and their skills are diverse, you will find them in the four corners of the world! You can only have one at a time.


The craft is a function consisting of being able to create even its objects, in Dragon Dawn, you simply need to have the recipe, the ingredients, and a forge available. Some rare items require a powerful forge, you will find them of any kind along your route, some allow exceptional achievements ....


The day / night system is far more complete than its one, it contains days, months, also years, and some actions are only available in the day, or vice versa, it is the same for certain quests.


Each type of weapon includes 5 skills.

  • 3 attacks.
  • 2 of support.


These skills are related to the weapon you have equipped. At any time, you can change weapons (out of combat) and change strategy. The weapon skill damage, are equal to that of the weapon equip + damage skill. It consumes points of action.



  New * : Active skills are unlockable throughout the game. By helping certain characters in the story, they will give you skill scraps. Active Skills have 2 properties:

  • Effect on trigger: Brings you a temporary bonus that consumes energy. (Gain of action points, increased speed, HP Max gain)
  • Passive effect: a permanent bonus as long as the skill is activated (eg: , Defense enhancement, or flame protection).




New *: Trading card games are a mini-card game that aims to get more points than its opponent through its card deck. The rules are simple:
There are 3 types of placements, and therefore 3 types of cards, Defense, Far, Attack. Each card has a number of points of values, which affects the total score. The game is played at 2 (Human vs AI or online if the connection is active) and turn by turn.
Players have the ability to pass, when they think their number of points is enough to skip a turn. If on the next turn the opponent gets back his number of points, and manages to surpass that of the player having passed, then the opponent wins the round.
There are a total of 3 rounds. And you have 12 cards per deck.






New *: Legendary dungeons, a suite of pieces that allows you to defeat a legendary boss, each boss has a piece of legendary equipment, and some resource allows the hero to build Rare equipment. There are 8 of them. A legendary dungeon can not be replayed several times the same day, it will be necessary to wait 1 week in Game (ie 2 h). To restart the dungeon.

Based on your screen shots, your HUD looks amazing. You must of spent a lot of effort on it to keep it from clouding up the screen, which is especially important in an action based game, and become distracting.

You know, I sometimes ponder if working on the story and details is more necessary than the game itself. Its... technically work, just not direct.

Like for me specifically I never stop evolving the story based on what avenues I can approach in gameplay and then I get anxious thinking "hey good thing I thought about that now instead of later". Repeat ad nauseam.
