Dragon Engine - Scene Ring Menu
version 1.2.0

What's this?

This script replaces your current scene menu with a lightweight ring menu system. 

How does it looks like?

Dependencies

Many, you may look for them at the dependencies there.

It is because I'm planning to release each scene as a separated plugin, so some special ring menus are reused, you may not want all of them, so let's keep them separated.

Also my core has some neat error handling I use to display better errors for you inside my plugins, nothing stuff breaking.

Incompatibilities

Anything than changes the scene menu may break, anything else should work.

License

My entire dragon engine is under Apache 2.0, means you are free to use it any way you like it, but give credits.

Of course you can edit/improve and keep it all for yourself, so don't worry about that.

How to use it

Please read the help inside the plugin manager, also, the mvplugins faq

You may not need them, so the option is... well, optional :p

2 questions:

1. Is there a way to completely remove menu entries? Like e.g. I do not need "Formation" or "Status" and I do want them disappear from the menu - Is that possible?

2. I would like to use normal items over the ring menu also. So if I select "Items" the current menu would close and a new ring menu with items would open. Is there any chance that something like this might be added in the future?

1. It is possible, even better is something added by default on MV:

2. I'm planning to create all of the scenes in a ring menu system, even shops, items and equipment.

But I'm, releasing one at a time, and each one can be used alone without neething the other (that's why the plugins are disperse, they are meant to work like modules you can use separately.

I have the scripts in the correct order and they are the most recent versions, but the regular stock menu keeps coming up. I pressed F8 and got an error under the Dragon core script that said "addCommonHandle is not defined". Help lol.

Not really something I'm interested on ATM, but you may be able to changer the window's opacity, orientation and the rest... so it's a probably "future options" to have both...

Edit, not really my problem I believe...

Probably I have to do that too...

So maybe, I'm first thinking at the default menus, the battle probably may be one of the lasts in editting...

By the way, updated to 1.2.0 now with support to edit the help window... finally...



Remembver than the Ring Menu plugin is also updated to 1.2.0, the rest are fine to keep the older version, but the newer is required to read help window's parameters.

Well, I looked for EXACTLY THAT POSSIBILITY really long and I did not see it. Thanks!

However, I can not disable the options menu here. Perhaps I can find another plugin for that but I feat that this could somehow intervene with your plugin. So could there be the possibility to disable this one entry online?

Also I am very happy that you plan to release this functionality for more menus, I am counting on the one for the item menu ;-)

You may not want to disable options for players you know, they are something important.

But if you still want to remove them, an empty plugin with this:

Window_MenuCommand.prototype.addOptionsCommand = function() {};Will be enough for both vanilla and my ring menu.

It may be kinda silly to release  a one-line plugin thou :p

Like smithing, storage, spells etc.

To make that customizable would turn this from nice to have to ultra awesome! :)

If you actually add an script after this than adds a new menu, it will work:

You may need to add the icon to the Icons parameter, but it should work...

So you may have to know how the command is internally called, but, by default, no it won't allow to add "new menus" it would be quite complicated to handle with plugin parameters, and as I told before, if any script adds the command, you just need to add its icon.

You still need the ring menu (the base for all ring menus) in order of it to work.

And sorry I pushed something I didn't have to, now it's fixed...

This is a really nice script. However I'm having a couple problems, can I ask two things?

First, whenever I have the choice to select an actor (as a sub-selection for equip or status) the icon for Cancel does not appear, even though it's listed in the plugin and will show in the normal menu. It MIGHT be another plugin I have though, but for something like this it seems unlikely.

Second is a bit more trivial, but is there a way for the menu to turn faster?
