I'm planning on remaking dragon warrior 1 in RPG Maker mv but I don't know how I would go about making/changing the battle system or menu to look like the one in Dragon Warrior 1. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

That's a good starting point for delving into mechanics of the game, but also note that the rng is built around specific actions and frames so I would suggest looking into speedrunning because they know a lot more about what makes the game tick. I believe one of Yanfly's plugins can help inject chosen letters of your name into the stat generation, and there are sites that absolutely have ripped every single graphic from the game.

I was able to use a couple of plugins to quickly mimic the looks of the battle system. With more love and attention you could get it to look just like it. I'll post a couple of screen shots and a sample project so that you can see how I did it.

EDIT: Forgot about SumRndmDde TOS and removed my link. Sorry Q_Q

On my journey of character rework: I had this character, she was meant to be just a princess that joins your party. And at long term she was just uninteresting... So I tweaked her to be a rebel agaisn't the royalty before meeting up with the party.

Quick tip for any other ametuer pixel artists! When trying to create a colour palette, enabling Antialiasing can speed up the process of creating different shades! Just place your lightest colour and your darkest colour next to each other, select both pixels, and stretch it out!
