Drakenfall: Shattered Memories

Synopsis: Darreth is an ordinary young boy who lives with his sister - his only family - he wishes to be part of the guild of his village. When he meets the required age to join, an event suddenly takes away his dream, his family, and the world as he knew; The light from the sun is gone and the sky is crimson red, dragons now rule from above as everything on his feet turn to dust... There should be no dragons and no magic on this world, but it's no bad dream, it's a real nightmare and it's really happening. Somehow, he wakes up a hundred years later and it's no act of mercy to wake up alone, but Darreth takes the chance to understand what happened and avenge the death of his sister. Can he adapt in this new world and fulfill the prophecy?

World:

An ordinary Medieval/Fantasy world, after the Cataclysm event this world was filled with magic and strange creatures.

Myriad: - 5 Villages - 3 Forests - 1 Dungeon
Eslye: - 5 Villages - 2 Forest/Hill - 3 Dungeons
Askal: - 4 Villages - 2 Forests - 2 Dungeons
Nihall: - 4 Villages - 2 Forests - 3 Dungeons
Total: - 18 Villages - 9 Forests - 9 Dungeons

Guilds: Runningvale (Myriad) Nightshade (Nihall) Stormpikes (Askal) Rainlaws (Eslye)


Overworld:


Characters:
Darreth - Our main character. Uses a Sword and Shield to fight, will be able to perform Special and Magic attacks, will have Fire element, balanced fighter and combos.
Elika - Darreth's sister. No fight abilities.
Sapphira - A magic soul. Uses Cane/Staff and a Spell Book to fight, will be able to perform Magic attacks, will have Holy and Dark element, not much fight power, focus on buffs and heal.
Tavion - A wanderer assassin. Uses Daggers and Axe to fight, will be able to perform Special attacks, will have Wind and Earth element, heavy defense and attack power.
Kyra - A princess. Uses Bow and Spear to fight, will be able to perform Special and Magic attacks, will have Water and Ice element, high agility and combos.

Gameplay:

  • Main Quest/Side Quests system.
  • Day/Night influence quests and monsters.
  • CTB Battle with Skill Cooldowns and Casting Times.
  • On battle change of equip to optimize your weapons according to enemies weaknesses.
  • Monsters evolve same as player - Bestiary Book to record monsters and strategies against.
  • HUD displays hour/date/time of day, gold, map name, active main quest, party and key items.
  • Dungeons filled with puzzles and hidden items.
  • Gather ingredients and craft your own Potion, or maybe and Antidote, those are really important.
  • Earn "Magic Shard Points" in battle and combine with "Magic Orbs" you get from Boss Enemies to unlock new Battle Skills.
  • Reconstruct your Village from ruins with materials you gather through the game.
  • Also, there's a mysterious hooded man who loves riddles, get them right! The rewards are worth it.
  • Alternative Endings.

Looks interesting. I like the effort you're putting into a more traditional world map. Will it be for reference, or will the player navigate parts of the map to travel/obtain info? I don't know why it's always a young boy in a village who has to venture out alone on some epic quest to 'save the world', but it works. It's familiar and I like the simplicity of it.  :)

Thanks for the support! I'm trying to get a demo out but it's taking forever, perks of being a perfectionist :p

I'm putting a lot of effort on visual detail, glad it's being appreciated :)

Nice graphics on the menu and battle HUD. Did you script it from scratch or used a plugin like Luna Engine?
I have all the scripts used in the credits with proper author, if it's not listed then it's my doing including all graphic detail :)

Thanks for the support, I know everyone wants a demo but I'm struggling to deliver because of the Holidays.
