Before I go any further into this, let me express my gratitude for giving my game a shot. It means a lot to me that you would take time out to do this.
Things mentioned that I will take away from this as constructive criticism and will consider:
I need to learn how to map. In the same vein, make the buildings less "TARDIS" like, less interior space.
Simplify the menus or at least make them less "busy"
This is already fixed (Somewhat) Text boxes need to be used for better contrast so they can be read.
Check the balance (especially in the into) of random battles. Though the game is supposed to be tough, it's supposed to slap you up side the head with it in the main gaming world, not in the intro.
I'm sorry your play experience was not better, but in actual competency of playing the game, you did better than Deathspark who despite making it into the main world, got hung up on a game breaking glitch in the fading house. Sorry I was not there to atone for my sins. Here are some responses to a few things talked about:
This is my second game made on rpgmakerxp.
The battlers are from D&D books and Pathfinder (Mylar and some monsters you didn't see)
Thank goodness I'm not selling this, It's more a demo for a STORY, that I would like someone to pick up and redo in a non-rpg maker way.
As is true with the battlers, the music was credited properly in the CREDITS at the end of the game.
No I cannot afford the graphics pack that I want and need (50 bucks for the high fantasy set).
There is at least one play tester that has finished the game and enjoyed it.
I do not like the RTP. If everyone used it, everyone's games would look too much alike. And I'm chastised for a lack of originality?
A walkthrough was included. Did you read it?
In a sense, I feel as if I have failed. Congratulations, the "sweet" taste has officially been washed out.
On a last and lighter note, YOU AND YOUR WATCHERS REALLY KNOW THEIR VIDEO GAME MUSIC!
Thanks again,
