[mod]I'm gonna move this over to Resource Support.[/mod]Making a particular study of folds helped me a lot. There's a lot to consider from the thickness of the cloth to how stiff it is, to how loose it is on the body, where the fabric would pull and where it would hang and so on. If you mean clothes design, then considering the life of the character and what situation they're in when they wear the clothes is really helpful. The clothes tell you quite a bit about a person and it's part of the storytelling process.

What sort of tips in particular are you looking for?

I first started learning by recoloring and "frankenspriting" clothes - cutting and pasting bits and pieces of different outfits together. Doing this a lot helped me to see how the RTP clothes are constructed and eventually be able to start making my own.

If you want to get better at drawing clothing I recommend looking up models and studying their clothing.
If you want to do this in real life rather than use an image I recommend you get a piece of clothing and hang it on something that you can still see it on. This way you can study up close and personal the folds and how they react towards gravity and the texture that they were made with.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
