Requirements
Be at least 18 years old; we've had bad experiences and everyone under 20 that joined our team has been unreliable, unfortunately;
Able to put some time on the game, at least 3 hours a week;
Not offended by criticism/feedback, it's something that we do, sometimes we have to start segments over;
Not scared of big documents, we try to detail eeeeeverything so there are as little mistakes as possible when we delegate work to each other;
Able to work in a team, because we are a team!
Have at least a bit of experience (like if you've had RPG Maker for a whole 2 days, maybe eventing is going to be too hard).
About us
At the moment, we are a small team of 5, and are looking to increase our numbers. We are all passionate about video games, and some of us want to work in the industry.
I am myself starting classes in programming and game design in september. I've been designing tabletop RPG stories for about 12 years. So far, the team has been getting along pretty well, we're all motivated and have been since the start (about 2 months now, I believe?). The current team, so far, is willing to cooperate on projects beyond the Dread Islands, and we're going to move on to other games once this one is done.
What's in it for you?
Dread Islands is free and non-commercial, so unfortunately there's no money in it for you.
Yes we're all broke.
In short, credits and fun.
You'll be credited for your work, of course, and if you're looking to be part of a team, looking to improve your art, or if you're just passionate about one of the aspects of creating a game, then you may have a spot here with us. Also if you want and if we don't hate each other (But you'll get lots of love from me cause pls help!) you can stay with the team on future projects. Like I mentionned before, we're going to move to commercial games (and then we're moving to unity eventually, but details, who needs 'em?) so hey who knows you may have a job in a year or so!
Of course this is completely optional. We're not getting married or anything, so you don't have to commit to anything. Even if you're just bored for a month and feel like helping, we'll take it.
Contact how, sir?
Well first I'll ask that you leave a reply here, just so it bumps the thread. But I like to talk in private.
You can either reach me in PM here, on the forums, but if you want a quick reply...
