I gave up when publishers weren't interested in high comedy, fantasy adventure stories for teems and adults and more interested in sparkly vampires and topless werewolves

Dream job as a kid: President of the Republic (don't laugh)

Dream job as an adult: Movie Actor (not really for the money or the fame but because I like to entertain people with acting)

Actual job: Head Waiter.

I did all the sorts of jobs in my life:

bartender, electrician, bricklayer, painter, warehouseman, regular waiter, computer technician and appliances technician.

Thanks to my experience with all these jobs I basically learned to do almost everything, which is an awesome thing.

It's never too late. :) Pursue it! You never know who might become inspired by the stories you tell...

Hey, there has to be a first for everything! Besides, I can tell you, Sparklepoo Vampire Love Story doesn't really sell anymore. How do I know? I run the entertainment department for a major retailer. (I also work electronics, toys, luggage, automotive, seasonal and infant accessories.)

My dream job when I was a kid was to be an animator. Then I wanted to work with video games. Then my interest shifted to comic books. I found out in high school that I like to write, and am actually working on a novel right now. (Currently on the back burner until I can find someone who works in law enforcement to do some fact checking.)

To be honest, I never thought too much about what I wanted to WORK with. But when I was a kid I surely wanted to create things and use my imagination. I wanted to make cartoons, I wanted to create monsters and bring them to life (?), and when I was introduced to video games all I wanted was to create my own games. So I could say that my dream as a kid was to be an artist when I grew up.

On my teenager years I abandoned this idea and for me it was just an impossible dream. So despite of struggling with this fact, I accepted that I would have a boring regular job that I didn't need to like.

Plot twist: turns out that the only job I could get was doing art for an indie game, which is my current (dream)job.

When I was still a kid, I've always wanted to be an astronaut.

Thanks but I decided to put my author dream into putting my stories into RPG maker and making comics into it which I think is an awesome alternative.

I wanted to own Squaresoft.

Now I know better. So I'm going for Square-Eidos-Enix! (not really)

It's kind of bad that I'm 30 now (D: ) and I am not sure what my dream job would be. I figured if I were a big enough indie dev so I can live off of what I sold, then that would be nice :D I need more self confidence and to work on a project I'd be proud of for this though...

Current job is material services, so I get packages and put in the computer what we were shipped. Not the most exciting job, but it's something for now.

I wanted to be the manager of a Blockbuster store. (For those who don't know, Blockbuster was a chain video rental shop in the US before it went out of business.)

Typical 10 year old logic: "I could rent all the free movies and video games I want! What more could I possibly wish for!"

Yeah... I didn't have very high aspirations as a kid.

I wanted to be an astronaut.

And then I realized my entire life would revolve around number crunching in zero gravity, and decided 0G wasn't worth number crunching.

After that, I wanted to be a surgeon, but decided against it as I have rather shaky hands. Which, as you have probably figured out, does not help in delicate procedures.

Then I decided I just wanted to be filthy stinking rich. Still do.

Hmm... when I was a kid I kind of wanted to be a medical examiner, morbid I know but my reasoning was that I was fascinated with the human body and such but the idea of cutting into living people (as a doctor would do) disturbed me more than cutting into dead ones. I mean, you can't really accidentally kill a dead person if you mess something up.

As for a dream job I've come to realize over the years that I've toiled away that my dream job is to not work at all, I'd much rather be a Mr.mom then to do any of the actual jobs I've ever worked before, including the jobs I enjoyed doing like being a vet tech and the brief stint I did as a park ranger up in Bankhead.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
