I regret to say that there are no updates this week. I'm doing private stuff and its eating my whole schedule.

Anyways, here's are the entries from my "Character Recruit" event. The event is unsuccessfully, in Discord these are the only entries, in FB there's no entry at all. These characters will be featured in future episodes! (credits to their respective owner)

[Back from Hiatus Update]
Not a big deal since this game is still on development but people who played the demo keeps messaging me "how's the game" or "you missed a lot of weekly updates". Big apologies, I've been gone for job hunting and its all great now. I'm hired and back being a working guy. No need to explain my work dilemma, here's a little update!


NEW
  • Started on writing the manuscript for the "Lljynn Province" episode, featuring the first encounter with fan-favorite "Else Phage"

  • Added 2 to 4 sidequest on each previous islands.

CHANGES
  • Edward's "Fast Calculation" has been replaced into a single-target physical attack.
  • Adjustment to item effects (increased base healing, reduces cost for attribite granting items, increase damage for bomb items, "Pasta" food item buffs lasts for the whole battle unless KO'd)
  • Time Activation for "Trigger Rune" passive is now prioritized

...all these update in one night, as soon as I'm worry-free from IRL problems.

  • Started on making Mt. Etna (surface) map
CHANGES
  • Further adjustment on Rayne's judgment ring
  • The fermata on Narcisse's inputs now grants a one-time 30% damage reduction buff
  • Further adjustment on Nicolai's modes, according to roles
  • Prism's Shield form now has "Taunt" ability, Katana skill is focus on quick casting, increased HP cost of Axe skills, Scythe skills is now hybrid damage, Spear skills improved link chance
  • Lou has over-all nerf
  • Further improvements for Edward; Reduced skill cost, Mach Level bonus attributes increased, the "Skull" in roulette now takes away little HP and SP instead of 'double skill cost' penalty
  • Taiyaki's heat gauge now increases her ATK/MAG/AGI according to heat level. And also improved "Flame ON" buff
  • Optimized Else's cauldron. Now shows the fusion result when selecting the 2nd component
  • Reduced Remina's DEF growth

This is a great looking project! <3 I love your character artworks! They really have that arc-systems-ish look to them. xD :D Design and style-wise. <3 The screenies look fun too and I love the look of the battles! I am going to play the demo when I get back home and leave feedback! ;)

EDIT; I'm not making much progress this season honestly! There's my work, issues here and there, and the next Arc will be consisting with 8 large places. Completing the maps in West Vhilprism will finally reach 50% of game completion!


NEW
  • Adding the "Team Attacks" with my own script since the Union Skill that comes with the ATB script cannot be used without the ATB System.
  • Mt. Etna Map Complete! Inside/Outside the volcano

CHANGES
  • Else's "Operation" buff can be used on map and stays permanently until changed into other operator, KOed, or refreshed
  • Operator "Subtraction" increased damage reduction
  • Operator "Division" changed function from (Half SP cost) into (Auto-Fusion Spell)
  • Increased all SP cost to all of Else's Fusion Spell
  • Increased MAG/DEF bonus on Taiyaki's Gear Level
  • Reduced SP cost of all Summon Runes
  • Improves the skill draw of Remina to make it less random

REMOVED
  • Removed the current Cooking System, changing it to something easier. Still researching ways to do it.


As for the DEMO's reviews, I would like to share some the feedbacks;

...there are tons but most of them are just offensive. But I did consider their ratings.

(Rakusen from Gmail) I enjoyed Rayne's game mechanic. The character graphics doesn't match the one from your videos. Is there a reason?

(Sakura Sakurako Sakuraba from FB ) I'm kinda disappointed on the demo. Else Phage is not playable!
But you did a good job! I like how tricky the Field Abilities are. I'm guessing that there will be lots of secret paths in the complete game.

(Anonymous from Gmail) Its so inconvenient to switch between modes with Shield guy and Lou's Stand skill damage is too OP. Congratulations on making the Demo!
(I cut some of the ridiculous feedback like "Delete Rayne", "Narcisse should be a real woman", and more... y'know who you are and if you read this, I mostly thank you for the review. I'm looking at it as fair criticism)

(ReminaXV58 from Deviantart, also the one who made some enemy sprites for me and OC owner of Remina) Too many gimmicks! Not my kind of game, the prequel is much simple. Atleast my enemy sprite made it to the Demo.

(Benjie Cruz from FB a.k.a. Enji himself) Unique but confusing. I'm talking about Nicolai, Prism, Lou, and Taiyaki. I have to hold SHIFT to access their special hub but for Prism, it stops working after 3 to 4 turns. Taiyaki's hub doesn't appear at all. For Lou, I can't access it by the start of the turn.

Now working on the Vhilprism Arc and decided to add some locations, islands, dungeons that are optional and is not required to proceed to the main story. For leveling up and farming purpose!

NEW
  • Added the Team Attacks with the new "Synchronity Gauge"
  • Three New Guest Characters! Not gonna announce or show the characters.

CHANGES
  • Fixed the graphic glitch where Narcisse appears in Diva Mode but only uses her normal skill.
  • Fixed Remina's stacking cards. Does not reshuffle per battle and always exceeds up to 6 cards.
  • Chance of chaining skills for Remina increased
  • Slowers the progression of raising plants
  • Dead plants now grants "Wood" materials and guld for unharvested produce.
  • Adjusted the EXP required to LVup
  • Added 5 points of attribute to Rune Crystals to minimize attribute reduction when equipped.
  • Added more power on all Weapons, excluding the Final Weapons
  • Rune Points required to LVup a Rune Crystal is now 30k from 50k

REMOVED
  • Else's Map skill has been removed! Will be replacing into other mini puzzle game. (Brainstorming)
  • Removed some guld increasing equipment. I only left 1 accessory with that effect.

I'm going to do another re-playthrough of the game to remove profanities and also to optimize some of the dialogs. And since I added side quests, extra islands to explore, and more wave enemies, I'll test and rebalance the enemy difficulty.

(Example; Version1, Island4 all party are already in LV10 => Version2, Island4 all party are already in LV13)


NEW

  • Else's new "Ether Puzzle" completed! Now its a Tile Arranging minigame and a much easier one.
  • Added new passive skills on "Trigger Runes" (such as revenge strike, lifesteal upgrade, additional buff while digesting)
  • Working on rune passive skills to be able to trigger on any characters/enemies
  • Glacier Shore map in Uz Imperium added! (Different section, not the same as in the first game)

CHANGES
  • Another glitch when Nikolai enters "Phantom Knight" mode. He can still access Gardna Transform with buffs and skills that forces him to transform.
  • Optimization of animation and tilesets
  • Optimized Taiyaki, Pierre, and Narcisse's game mechanic input hub
  • Adjusted Enji's slot to a little slower speed.

REMOVED
  • Soul Elizabeth Ravenous' cards
  • Ztar Island's minigame "Gun Gallery" and "Lucky Draw"

I just finished the re-replay and the progression of character power is now much better! The power growth on Level 10-20 is now more recognizable. The game is currently on 50% completion now!

  • Remina's buff cards are changed to attack cards, allowing her to deal more damage than focusing on her Tank role.
  • Prism's Claw Weapon skills can now be triggered via basic attack (probability applied)
  • Death avoidance buff is now triggered before any healing passive/wave skills to prevent prolonging invicibility from death
  • Bridget and Celandine's song input "Short Fermata" triggers a different effect

Yesterday I made my first step towards eating more healthily.
I saw candy on discount and did not buy it.

I always told my DA fans how much I hate slot machines. They're fine in games as a risk-and-reward system. But when you're spending REAL MONEY in a Vegas casino to try and hit the jackpot (which very, very few people will), it can really hurt your budget. Gambling is a bad habit, and I don't like wasting my money on a slim chance. Go to Vegas for the experience, not the jackpot.
Took the kids to a corn maze. They gave us a map and had lights at certain points in the maze. Not overwhelming... or underwhelming... just... whelming.
Okay, vacuuming fruit flies out of the air is surprisingly effective.
