So, having just purchased the DS+ Resource Pack, our initial reaction was that the battlers, battlebacks, etc. were all wonderful...then our team started discovering the "caveats" in some of the scripts, etc. which say that, even though the product has been paid for, we cannot use it for commercial projects, since we were not "Members+" during the initial release time.

Shouldn't those scripts and resources be placed in a FREE download? They do little good for the honest business people who are paying to use these resources in commercial projects, and seem almost like a "tease".

I'm pretty sure that doesn't apply to people that paid for the pack and instead got them from being Members+ only.  Official word would be recommended, but anything within a paid product like this is most likely to be free for commercial use.

If someone could confirm that those resources can be utilized by paid users, then that would be awesome.

Also, another issue we are having: Several of the characters, such as the new vehicles, some sprites, etc. have a colored background which covers the area around them when used in-game. What would need to be done to remove this?

As soon as you bought the pack you can use any of the materials in it for commercial purposes. The DS+ EULA Overwrites it.

I'm pretty sure that we have them all as transparent. Just re-import them via resource manager.

That is how they were imported, the project file was opened, and they were added to the existing list using "Resource Manager". Upon imoprt the blocks of color are always added.

Then resource importer probably messed it up somehow. Try directly copy pasting them in your folder than Resource Manager.

Also... moving this to product discussion and support.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
