DS-styled sprites

I've recently gotten the DS+ pack from the holiday giveaway, and have been trying to do some stuff with it. While I know it's not possible to distribute edited versions of its resources, I was wondering if anyone knew if there is any free ds-styled original content floating around the web?

I doubt I'll have much luck with it, but it can't hurt to ask, right? Thank you for reading.

EDIT: I forgot to mention before: I'm mostly looking for resources outside of this site that I might not have heard about.

There are a few DS style sprites in the restaff releases.

Sorry, but I can't remember which month.

If you ever get Member+, you can also find some in the Plus Lounge.

And there tends to be DS style sprites in the bonus releases as well.

Distributing things made in a similar style is fine, it's the edits that are the problem, so it's not like there can't be anything out there.

I made a great deal of DS style things in this December Restaff Release.  Caz has done so on numerous occasions as well and has even done entire tile sets as far back as September of this year.

First of all: thanks everyone for such a quick reply, it's people like you that make this such a cool forum.

@Susan/Palladinthug - I'm sorry, I should have mentioned that I was looking for out of site resources. After all I can -somewhat easily- look up stuff here, but I'm obviously not familiar with every blog and site that could pontentially have free resources available, but you did help me find some things I overlooked, so thank you for that, too.

@Susan - I've wanted to get a Member+ account since I first found out what it was, but it's financially impossible at the time. Here, we have a very unfair exchange rate for dollars, so you REALLY need to make it count when you spend money on a site or buy imported stuff.

@Palladinthug - I accidentally placed the december restaff release on the wrong folder when downloading it, so I completely forgot about it.

It's really some good stuff, I specially liked those banners and Mana-styled mushrooms. Are they yours or edits from the original DS pack?

@Sharm - Yeah, you told me some about it, that's what I meant when I said "original stuff". Wasn't I clear enough?(I always feel insecure about how I word sentences in english, so I rewrite them like three times, and look up in google several words, trying to avoid misspeling stuff before I'm somewhat satisfied with them)

I'm an idiot! I had your stuff on my comp, and I completely failed to notice them when I was going through it.

No problem.  They are mine, and the mushrooms are DS conversions from Linkoubu's Vx Resources.  I made the banners from scratch.

I can't believe I forgot the December restaff release and it was just a few weeks ago! I must have ate all those mushrooms palladinthug made and forgotten about them. Sorry! They were just too cute! ^^

In case you don't have them yet. the Restaff releases from October 2013 (excluding February 2014) to the present month contain original DS/DS+ style sprites/tiles/tractor/airplane/etc.

I could be wrong, but I think that it may be hard to find original DS style tiles out of this site.

Who is Linkoubu? I've tried several search engines and the sites search function with no results...

Yeah, they do seem to be pretty rare.

I'm definitely enjoying the pack. I like it's (relatively) limited scope, too. That way, I won't start bloating my project with extraneous stuff like I usually do.

I just did a search myself, and sadly the site RPG maker VX.net only says "RIP".  So I don't think you'll be seeing his originals anytime soon.  Try Lukinobu and see if you can get a hit that way, searching through my original methods I can no longer find his work.  That's so sad.
