duel battle system for rpg maker MV

Hello everyone !

Im making my first project today with lots of idea but im a newbie in programming.. ><

I need some help for 2 things:

-how can i input a duel system pretty much like this one:

It will be like the video ,talking to a NPC or event trigger the duel.Losing trigger a back in game or a game over.

Also i would like a wargamelike during the game triggered by a dialogue or an event,pretty much like this :

I saw Lecode Tactical Battle System ,his work could do it but i just need this mode during few battle.

For the second one, you're looking for a Tactical Battle System. I'm sure there's a plugin for that in MV somewhere, you just need to find it.

For the first one, it's just a regular rpg battle with some slight modification and camera/movement/animations. For the animations, it's more of an art problem than a coding one. You need to have visual assets for all the required animation. For camera and movement, it's a plugin, but also images (for movement). The spinning camera would be near impossible to reproduce in MV, or at least it would be very difficult because 2D isn't 3D, a spinning camera means you must be able to create 2D character rotations, something that only good animators can do.

For a first project, you're looking at something not easy. Usually people that create games with similar systems are already fairly experienced. Especially your first video, it requires a lot of time and work for even a very experienced, or even a professional, to recreate because of all the animations and camera movement. The second video (tactical battle system) would be easier since it's mostly a plugin, but it is still hard. A tactical battle system also isn't something people that just started off in game making usually do. You can still try grabbing a plugin for that and follow the instructions, I'm sure you can get it to work somehow.

More precisely for the first vidéo it could be close of sidebattler view with dragonbonnes,the point is to have the same option like this duel.Its not a problem if the camera can't spin because RPG MAKER is for 2D not 3D.

For that Rock-Paper-Scissors "Duel" type of battle system, I think you'd either need to have a plugin made from scratch (you're in the right place to request it, lol), or you could try eventing it yourself using very few of the tools from the regular battle system and instead setting most of the action up in Conditional Branches inside Events (either outside of battle for a little more freedom, or inside battle to make use of Force Action event commands that utilize damage formulas and show battle animations). It's a pretty big undertaking either way.

If you simply want to modify the battle options, then it is much more easier. It will require a plugin that allows you to do that. I think maybe a Yanfly battle plugin will allow you to do that, but I'm sure. I don't know much about Yanfly plugins, or any other third party plugin that isn't mine, so perhaps someone with more knowledge than me can guide you to a plugin to modify battle commands.

I checked there is no yanfly plugin for this duel thing.I will try but im a rookie in programming so will need a little help ^^
if i want a complete game i need both but the war system is more important^^
I check the lecode work and should do it but i think i need to call an event then i dont know how i can trigger (combat on another map with this combat mode)the witching normal game/warmode game.

With mode 7 plugin you can get the spinning effect. This duel would have to be an on map crafted system to utilize mode 7. It would also take a lot of sprite editing to get each side of the sprite to appear how you want.

It would be a lot of work but it is possible, just outside of the normal battle system.

I think i should try your idea wavlenght ,it seem to be the most easy fot the duel^^ for the wargame i will see ,i just have to find a way to call an another map working on a TBS instead STB^^

It's still a prototype, but I've started working on a Suikoden-like Duel Battle plugin :

There's still some random bug that I haven't been able to pinpoint yet, as I'm messing big time with the default battle system.
Also I'd like to at least try to make it work with Yanfly's BattleCore (which is another challenge by itself).
Yet, hopefully it will be ready within a couple of weeks.

Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
