I am making dungeon crawler game like dnf
ARPG
And should I use big sprite which make the maps smaller because I have to placate them and parallax mapping and lots of scripting layers
Or small Sprite which make you scale with the 48 by 48 tiles... ;'( so small..

Or you can be big in town but tiny in dungeons or vice

for me sprites = small 90% of the time unless you have a particular and very strong reason for doing high resolution pixel art
high resolution (like default MV resolution) handdrawn assets are gorgeous and easier to make than pixel art in that resolution though
but im not sure i understood the question very well lol

dungeon souls' style is gorgeous and not costly to make so i think its a step in the right direction, especially since dungeon crawlers usually will have a pretty big amount of monster / item / player sprites etc. :^)))
Also thanks for the follow!! XD

@fiddlesticks 'Game Mechanics Design' is for looking at aspects of game play from a more conceptual level. The size of sprites is not a mechanic, it is about a resource. Also, this particular forum is not for feedback on specific individual projects.

You will probably get more help if you were more specific. I, for example, have no idea what dnf ARPG is, so am unable to give any opinion. Furthermore, sprite size is related to the style of tile you are using, and the overall visual aesthetic. Without any idea of what you are doing, again it is not possible to give much of an opinion. If you want help to create sprites in that style, I suggest you find an image and post in 'Resource Support' which is about helping people create resources for their game.
