That could be done if you create the map and import it in your image processing software, so that when a torch is lit, you don't only show a picture of the "light" effect but a cropped image of the map. It will be displayed on top of the actual map done in the editor, so passability and such are still handled by the engine.

A little long and boring. Scripts would probably be easier to use in that case, if it weren't for the performance cost.

I dunno, sounds overly complicated to me, like trying to make a custom menu purely with events. Despite the performance cost, I think I'm just going to go with an actual light script. If that means that some people with outdated machines can't play it, well that's too bad.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
