Hmm...

I think you need to learn how to build attractive maps first to force the people to play the game. I believe ur story is good, but the graphic is not attracting me.

You can find RPG Maker maps in Google Picture and try to make similar maps to improve your mapping skills (That's what I'm doing now).

Good luck.

Hi there,

I had a go on the demo. Comments in the spoiler:

I thought your timing with telling the initial parts of the story was just right. The set-up was interesting and inspired. There is not yet any real gameplay so I can't say much, but I have a few suggestions for improvement in the mean time:

- The colour of the screen in the houses was sometimes so dark as to be frustrating.

- Spelling errors here and there, which for me is an issue (although this is also my fault for being picky).

- The doors open up onto wooden walls - why not use the doors that open to a black doorway?

- The man in the 3rd room disappeared when I pressed the action button on him from the right side.

Well done on your hard work and good luck with future projects!

So, I updated the demo, added more content and first look at the combat, if you haven't already tried it, do so. I am awaiting any kind of feedback. :)

Hi there,

I had another go, but I think this one might be my last - I appreciate your efforts with the story but I'm struggling because of the generally untested feel to the game. More attention to detail would encourage people to play your game.

Points in the spoiler.

- I don't like the new font, and it wasn't even consistently the same font which was strange.

- I didn't seem to emerge from the right place when leaving a house.

- There were some points where I could see characters flashing into different positions for a cut-scene. Use tint screen or fade-out to deal with this.

-There were many points of the map that I could walk on when I shouldn't be able to.

- Combat was crude and didn't seem to require skill. I was struggling to avoid getting hit and had to give up after the first fight.

Good luck in future projects! Remember you should really have tested your game a hundred times before you offer it to the community to play.

Hey, I really appreciate the feedback. And I will try to fix these problems. I know that the combat is very "boring", but I disn't want to use the default because I think that it takes out of the experience. I will try to polish it. The font Apart is strange tho. Could you please specify where exactly the font changes? :)

Yeah, I found out about the walkable tiles yesterday. I tested the game a few times, but I never went deeper to find those errors (I will now, of course), because I just wanted to see if the Main Storyline was functioning.

Thanks for the detailed feedback

Yeah it is great that you're deviating from the standard combat! Just needs more work. The text seemed to changed for the cut-scene in the village.

advice for play testing is just to pretend you're a small child playing the game and try all the stupidest things you can think of to find the faults.

Good luck!

Happy New Year!

It seems I forgot to update the post, because Episode 1 is already released in "Completed Games" section. (Yes, I made the decision to make it an Episodic series.)

So if you still want to play more, here is the link to the post:

And that's not all. On January 5th Episode 2 titled "Shadows Part 1" will be released. So keep an eye out.

Feedback is always welcome.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
