I don't want to destroy this thread, but after I mentioned this:

Can I still dream of a FF7 remake?

A man can dream :p
The internet has been exploding with rumours about this.

A no-source, non-confirmed, rumour is stating that we will see news about FFVII being remade.

If this happens, I'll be the happiest nerd of the world, and I'm saving some hope but after all these years it's hard for me to trust this.

What camp are you?

Considering how much of a mess FFXV's development is, I rather that they remake FF7 when they finally got their bearings together.

I think Squenix can make more money out of FFVII anyway, so they can use it to put their act back together.

I really hope they won't tie it down to the substories they made especially the whole Angeal and Genesis or how FFXverse is connected to FF7 bs :'/

Hadn't FFXV been in development for about a decade now? If so then I agree.

And to be fair... there are some things I don't want to see remade in FF7:

So far I am most interested in No Man's Sky, but still not entirely convinced it'll be as cool as they're selling it...but hopeful none the less. Firewatch looked interesting too.

Guys. Dinosaur robots.
Dinosaur robots with a very appealing color palette and gorgeous backdrops. Probably won't be my taste in gameplay, but I can certainly appreciate the game for other reasons.

From the landscapes to the characters and the scenario fragments we got from the demo, I was really fascinated. Seriously that was a highlight in my opinion.

As for gameplay... well I really liked it.

Yup. I'm not kidding when I say I cried. I mean, this is what I've been waiting for years.

The best FF is finally being redone properly.

I find it funny how everyone before announcement acted like they were experts of how much resources Square Enix has and how far their other titles are in development side of things.

Then after even I mentioned that it has been confirmed by multiple sources, nobody believed me and called it a rumor.

Anyway, that sounds like Angeal in a trailer.

cammy-sf5-artwork.jpg

Cammy confirmed for Street Fighter V. Not surprising, but still nice to see. Of course some people are still complaining about her leotard thong. She doesn't look much different but they added some...umm..."military elements" to her outfit that looks cool.

They also confirmed that Birdie is returning, but he's gained significant weight and seems to have lots of new moves. Never really cared for him, now I care even less...lots of abandoned characters I wanted in before him (like Karin and Alex, who tend to get the top or near the top of SF character polls)

Yes, I know, character confirmations like this aren't too excited but I felt like posting it.

Oh yeah, FF7 remake, that's crazy business. Cloud and Barret look mostly the same for the most part. Here's hoping the others keep their original outfits. (The Advent Children outfits, for example, look fine, but I like them less)

Because rumours are not confirmed until there's official word from the game company.

FF7 remake was a rumor that crushed people's dreams many times. People go cynical after that much squenix trolling.

Totally confused by AC Amiibo Festival. Like many I expected a Wii U Animal Crossing, but hey I can get behind a good party game too...except from the trailer it looked like just rolling the die and going around the board without much actual game-play? Are there even mini-games? Weird choice on Nintendo's part.

I'm afraid Nintendo is getting too Cash-inny with Animal Crossing with all these spinoffs, the House Designing game is one thing since it fits... but a party game? Since they can't even hold up Mario Party since Hudson went out of business, I'm going to skip this one.

My personal E3 conference ratings:

Sony: Really good, but nothing really interest me. There was so little time spent on Vita and I don't have a PS4...

Microsoft: Better then their last two years at least. Never owned a Microsoft console though.

EA: Entire section set to mobile and sport games... Not good.

Ubisoft: Meh, had some high points.

Nintendo: The one I was looking forward to the most, but since they tell us everything they are doing through their Directs every other month, there was nothing very impactfull this time around. It was not bad by any means though.

Overall this E3 was decent, but didn't live up to the hype as much as last year's, especially Ninten's conference. I was looking forward to Zelda U, but that was delayed. I guess I'll wait until next year with the reveal of the NX.

Yeah I'm not even that sold on Happy Home Designer, but I agree it fits much better than Amiibo Festival.

I was disappointed, but not surprised, about the lack of Vita content. I have one too and wish they were doing more with it. Heck, even if they had just outlined more JRPG ports or something.

Whaaaat?

This E3 has been crazy. Bethesda rocked it with FO4 and Diablo.

Battlefront looks amazing and FIFA 16 is looking... Damn!

And Squenix might not have announced much in concrete, but what they're promisisng is great. I loathe KH but Deus Ex sounds promising and FFVII broke the internet.

And nintendo's problem might be more of a you problem, expecting anything fron them.

I've loved this E3.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
