I'm working on a game called "Hero's Quest", and I need your help.

I want you to try out my game so I can get ideas on what I need to improve, create, or remove. As it is a VERY early prototype, not all features are finished. After playing the game, let me know what you think, and tell me what I should change.

Download the .zip file attached, extract the game, and play!

P.S. I'm sorry if this isn't the best place to post this.

Hey,

I wasn't able to get very far with the time I had now, but I did notice that the encounter rate was VERY high outside the city. I got very frustrated trying to figure out where to go and having a battle every 3-4 steps avg.

I'll actually play the game through later if I can :)

This isn't really where you should be posting topics of this type. I would go to http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/forum/48-early-project-feedback/ (The feedback forum) for your topics, personally.

Game Mechanics is regarding the design of game mechanics and the discussion of them in general. Stuff that's heavily weighed towards your game and not about mechanic discussions really shouldn't be on here.

An example of what would be relevant mechanic discussion would be designing character classes in depth, discussing how a combat system works, things of that nature.

Asking for opinions/feedback/etc like this should be on the Feedback board.

Oops, sorry about that. That was for testing.

Oh, okay. I knew there was a place to post this, but I didn't know the name. Shut down this thread, I'm restarting it there.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
