Version has been bumped from 1.0.5 to 1.0.6

The following changes were made:

  • Feature: Added support for non-Hash objects as target objects for TDD::Ease methods. This means you no longer have to create an intermediary when using it on, say, a Sprite object; you can pass the sprite object as the target directly.
  • Documentation: Added documentation for the previously introduced delay optional option to the script's comments section.

Just made a quick video showing off another use of the easing script; in-map teleporter pads that move the player from one spot on the map to the other.

Hi there Galen! I'm a big fan of this script and would love to implement it in my project(s) but I'm having a bit of trouble. I was unable to use the moveroute ease_moveto_char() command for current object or for event id. I get this NoMethodError:

"undefined method 'x' for nil:NilClass"

I've tested in my own project and also in a project with no other scripts, both with the same result. It works fine when -1 / going to main character, but doesn't want to work for 0, 1, 2, 3 etc.... Any thoughts?

Thanks for the report aramis_ix. It turned out to be a problem with the way I fetched events using the id's, but I've fixed it now. Grab the updated script from the first post (or here for convenience) and you should be good :)

Absolutely. If you look at the example videos, there's one where the player steps on a raft, and the raft and the player moves to the other side of the water together. You could use the same principle with an elevator :) Maybe I should make a demo of this~

  • Updated to 1.0.11: Implemented :same functionality for overwriting other eases, only overwriting same attributes. Default (true) works as before.
  • Updated to 1.0.10: Fixed a bug in overwrite_other_easings and register_ease that caused overwrite to not work as advertised. It is highly recommended to update to this if you rely on the overwrite functionality.

Hey Galen. Are you still working on the addon script to animate Ace's default windows? That third example video looks really cool!

It's on the list yep, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. I'll try to take a look at it when I have some time soon-ish :)

I'm not sure. There are some existing solutions to easing I've been using in JS, like greensock.com and their TweenLite / TweenMax libraries. But there are some elements that have made me consider rolling my own solution, but I'm just not sure I'm up for reinventing the wheel when there are so many existing wheels doing the same thing in JS already :)

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
