I'm trying to figure out a way to edit this plugin. It creates a dynamic shadow based on a light source which is awesome but I was wondering if there a way to set it the light source per event to a single direction. right now the source is set to an event and when your character come closer, the shadow gets longer and darker but I want to do sun lighting which I want the entire map lighting coming from one direction. Say if I set it to 90 degrees. straight up and down the shadow will stay vertical across entire map.

this is where the pluginis located...

Oh hey, one of my old plugins! Give me a bit and I will add in that functionality.

(I suppose I should go back and update all of my older plugins at some point ... )

Thanks, Love the work btw!!! I'm making a sidequest where you can find forest spirits and complete task for them to receive awesome items. in order to find them though you have to look out for their shadows to make them reveal themselves.

Give the following a try : BasicShadows

You can set the rotation of all shadows of a shadow source by inserting the following comment tag where 'angle' can be 0 to 360 : <bsShadowRotation:angle>

No problem! There are a few issues to work out in the script. At the moment the shadows are on top of some tiles that they should not be. I will try to figure that out.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
