RMMZ Edit: Is there any way to achieve a cut-in effect? See update for details.

Hello. I'm Nameless L.W. ( pronounced Lou for convenience, lol )
WingedHares is my studio name.
I'm quite new to RPG Maker. Currently using the latest build, RMMZ. Loving it so far :)

I'm wondering if there's a way to zoom camera in and out? Since the default one is too far away from the player character. I also would like to incorporate it in cutscenes.

It would be nice if the camera can follow the player character as well.

UPDATE! I tried Galv's MZ Cam Control out, but it doesn't seem to be what I'm looking for :'D

I should've worded it better, but what I meant was something more of a cut in effect with the zoom already done before the screen fade in.
Something like: fade out > zoom in and focus to character/event/etc > fade in screen. This should give a cut in effect, but...

I tried that out with this plugin but the zoom is always done after the fade in screen, regardless of how it's programmed in the event.

Searched the plugin master list too and doesn't seem to have what I need.

If you know of something like this, please do tell. Thank you :)
I'll keep searching too.

If not, that's fine too.
I don't particularly need it right away. Still ptototyping stuff with placeholders, lol.

Dumb question: have you tried doing fade in/ fade out as dedicated commands instead of using the default map transfer fade?

I'm not using the map transfer fade for this, no, lol.

Setting the event up like this, specifically the zoom duration to zero should set the zoom up before the map is loaded.

Been focusing on art, but- I think it's going go work! Haven't tried to make it achieve a cut-in effect yet, but the zooming does work as intended. Thank you so much :D

Hopefully it works for the rest too, lol.
And btw, this plugin is okay to use for commercial games, right? I didn't find a statement anywhere, but just in case. I will credit them, of course :)
