Hi,

I gave some lvl1 skills to a class to test them in game.
During battle the actor should know only the skills set to lvl1 but i get an extra skill that has no name...
What is causing this?
How could i remove it?

Thanks!

EDIT:

I moved the testing skills to the top of the list so there is no blank skills in between.
This caused that the blank skill dissapear, but other actors with lvl1 skill had the skill nr9 for some reason. If i change whatever is on place nr9 all actors will have this skill in particular by default.

What could be causing this?

EDIT2:

With help of @bgillisp it was known that the root of the problem was the ""YEP_Class Change Core" Plug in.
By turning it off the default added skill nr9 was removed and the game continued as intended. What is still unclear to me is a way to keep the plug in and get rid of the problem :(
Is there a setting im missing in the plug in?

Here are my settings:

Explame with "Heal" as Skill Nr9:

The Actor should know only 1 skill:

Skill Nr9 gets added:

Plug ins:

Notice one thing. The amount of named skills is equal to 4, but the priestess is supposed to know 5. The missing skill is taunt.
So there aren't too many options. Bad plugin ordering, plugin incompatibilities or badly set skill.

Do you have any blank skills in your Skill List? Can we get screenshots of your skill list?

My best guess is that somewhere in your Database, you've got a skill before those ones under the heading of "Aesthetics", so the engine is reserving the blank slot for it or something.

Need more information though.

I have a lot of blank skills still on the data base as place holders.

I'll try by moving them up in the list so there are no blank slots and see if that works.
I'll post a list of plug ins aswell.

I deleted the "Taunt" skill on the class page but i still get that extra blank skill.

I'll post an image with my plug ins.

Thank you for your help!

Maybe a setting of your taunt skill wouldn't be a bad idea either.
edit: Ah, okay :D

Go through your plug-ins carefully. There's one Yanfly plug-in that gives every class certain skills, regardless of what you set. You'll have to disable that feature, then it should go away.

The other option though is if you load a save game, it won't care that you deleted that skill, it will still know it and it will be blank until you put a new skill there. Try a new game and see what happens.

I havent't install any plug ins (skill core or expantions) yet that mess with skills.

I had a lot of blank skills on the data base as place holders and i moved them to the top so there are no blank skills and it worked.
Why? i dont know.

But! Other actor with no skills at all has the "poison" skill as default:

what is weird is that the default skill that is given is not the first skill on the list:

Actually, many of Yanfly's plug-ins affect skills indirectly. You still need to check them all. The one I recall that did this was Class Change Core, but there might be others.

Also don't double post, which is two posts in a row by you. Edit your other post to include them all in one.

I edited my post to add, the plug ins i'm using, i don't remember posting another threat. :c
Anyway thanks,
what i discovered is that every class i learning by default skill nr9. Regardless of class or lvl.
They all get skill 9 for some reason. If a paste a skill on spot 9 the will al have it and i delete it the blank skill will appear. :C

I see you have Yanfly class change Core, and yes, that script does give all classes certain skills regardless of your settings. So you need to go to the settings for that plug-in and remove that.

I went trough the settings i don't understand what could be causing this problem, sorry for my inexperience.
What i did first was to turn it off and the default skill nr9 was gone. I would hate to get rid of this plug in since i would like to use the subclass expantion. When i turned it back on the deault skill was also gone. Why did it work? i have no clue to be honest.

I changed the skill nr9 to a different one and the problem came back :/

here are my settings for thet plug in:

I guess Yanfly's removed the feature to tell it which skills? All I know is in ACE they had it so that some skills were in all classes whether you wanted it or not, so you had to either edit the script or just not use those skills. And it looks like they've done it again here. I don't see a setting to avoid it, so you may need a plug-in edit to remove that feature, or just find a few skills you want all classes to have and not worry about it.

In fact, you could just put a dummy skill in that slot, assign it to a skill type that no one has, and it won't matter if you get the skill as you won't have the skill type so you'll never see it or use it! Maybe try that.

Go to the class core description on yanfly's Website, he explained why this happens and why he will not change it there.
You have to reorganize your skills into different, Claes dependent skill types.

Creating a new skill type and with the plug in on doesn't starts the game xD
Don't know why.
