I'm trying to set an actor's map sprite but its not showing the white rectangle like its supposed to. I'm trying to select the $BigMonster1 sheet (Demon) but it won't let me select a single sprite & just automatically selects 1 of the top sprites instead.
I tried to expand the sheet to normal size & remove the $ from the name, but it won't let me set a particular sprite in that way either. Anyone know what causes this & how to fix it?

That is because you're selecting it from actor database. It assumes that you don't need to select a single cell from it, and also assume it will be 4 direction sprites.

I see, that makes sense. But then the lack of a proper 4 directional character sheet for the demon is going to make this complicated.

Can you explain why it needs to be an Actor?
Are you planning to let the player walk around as the Demon, or have the Demon as a follower? That would look weird if it didn't have 4 directions of movement.

My game is going to be a 'Gacha' game, so I'm trying to add as many actors as possible. Among the different classes of actors, Demons are a class & there aren't that many Demon characters in the RTP by default so I need as many as I can utilize, and some artists went through the painstaking process of making battlers for some of those neglected NPCs like the 'Evil' characters & the BigMonster1 enemies. As long as I can get a full set of graphics for an actor (Face graphic, map sprite, SV Battler & Bust/Portrait), I can make them an obtainable & usable character.

As for that demon's map sprite, I'm still looking to see if someone made a 4 directional map sprite yet, and if not, maybe ask for some in Resource Requests.

Makes sense. If you were going to say you need the actor to be in a cutscene I would've just suggested to use it as an event sprite for the cutscene.

But yeah, if you want it to be a playable character then hopefully there's a 4 directional version of the sprite somewhere.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

To whom ever person or persons who re-did the DS/DS+ asset packs for MV (as in, they are all 48x48, and not just x2 the pixel scale) .... THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!! XwwwwX
