I recently purchased Effectus and I'm still a bit rough on the details of it. What I'm unsure of is how Patterns work.

What I understand up until this point is that I have to include the patterns in the bracket of the optimization part of the script, so that it will be able to search for the specific patterns in my event pages.

But I'm not sure how do I create a pattern inside my event pages. Do I make a comment? If so, is it simply a " 'light_effect' " (for example), or something else?

Any other tips on how Effectus works are appreciated.

Thank you for your time.

My understanding is that you put a comment with that pattern on the active page of the event.  The default is 'always' which would have the advantage of being usable in whatever type of event you want to be constantly updated.

However, it might be better to ask them on their website.  When I've had queries I've found that they are fast to respond, and you may as well get the most authoritative answer.

Ah, I considered trying to contact them, but I was discouraged, thinking that it may take a while to get a response. Thank you very much.

Could you report your opening post and ask for it to be closed.  The mod for this forum might not see your post requesting this, but will see the report.

Thanks.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
