So, I've made a couple of new elements for this game I'm working on.

Problem is, I have NO CLUE on what they should work against (as in other elements). An idea or two on what they could work on would be nice!

Neutra (it's already decided that Neutra won't be anything's weakness, but Neutra's weakness is still not decided.)

Candy (yes, I'm serious.)

Draco (Dragon, of course.)

Pure

Toxi (poison and venom)

Mritull (metal.)

Delta (Fire, Ice AND Thunder)

Laser

Demon

And Slice (weapons like axes and swords get this.)

Anyone got any ideas?

Let's see.

Toxi should be effective against metal (it gets corroded)

Metal should be effective against Laser(it gets reflected.)

Demon should be effective against pure.(or maybe they could be weak against each other.)

Slice should be effective against demon.

Would candy give the enemy diabetes or something?

-Not sure why Neutra needs a weakness when it doesn't have strengths.

-Candy should have weakness to kids.

-Draco should have little effect against magic imbued shields. (blocking all their firebreath attacks) and be weak against Mritull. But strong against elemental magic.

-What is pure?

-Toxi should be effective against living beings and have no effect on objects/non-living creatures, such as robots.

-Mritull could be strong against Draco.

-Laser should be strong against any metal.

-Demon is weak against holy/light.

-Slice is strong against cloth armour, but weak against plate armour.

I feel like I should make a duplicate of Toxi specifically for Acid... For corrosion.

Weak against each other! nice!

Nope. Candy is its own element. Just a random idea! XD!

Weakness to kids? I shudder to think...

Pure? Even I'm not so sure. Think of it as a special, evil kind of Light/Holy.

Instead of trying to create one giant duck-duck-goose circle of weakness, why not create smaller, separate diagrams? BlackLiquidSorrow's idea is kind of the same. Or, think of something like Pokemon where there is a grid of logical weaknesses and strengths.

Neutra is not strong against anything. It is also not weak to anything. This should be, literally, neutral ground for when something or someone doesn't need or can't perform under an element. A baseline level.

This leaves us with 9 elements left (10 if you now include your previous Acid idea). I'm guessing Pure is something along the lines of Angels, heavenly purity?

If so, you can put Pure <--> Demon. They are weak to each other.

8 Elements left. Let's do the Inorganic Diagram: Metal, Acid, and Laser.

Acid corrodes Metal; Metal reflects Laser; Laser burns (evaporates) Acid.

5 left: Candy, Draco, Delta, Toxi, Slice. No idea what to call this, as they're all different, but let's see.

Candy nullifies Toxi; Toxi poisons Draco; Draco eats Candy.

This leaves Delta and Slice. These two could also oppose each other. Sometimes you gotta think things through (Delta), or just straight up give a little percussive maintenance (Slice). Therefore:

Delta <--> Slice.

Hope this helps.

Actually, yes it does help! Quite a bit, in fact!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
