Elemental Resistance Stacking

Here's my problem. In the first image, Durius does not have any equipment on. As you can see, he has a 25% resistance against the Earth element naturally. However, in the second image he is equipped with an axe giving 50% protection against Earth. So, according to my maths, the resistance number in the second image should be 75%, not 63% as it shows. What's going on here? How could I make the elements stack properly?

Actually, it is performing the resistance exactly as it is set up in the system, as


25% resistance (0.75 element rate) * 50% resistance (0.50 element rate) = 0.75 * 0.50 = 0.375, which is 63% resistance, when rounded.


Elements are multiplied, not added. You'll need a major overwrite of how elements are applied if you want them to be added instead.
