Introduction

Sometimes you may want to customize your windows a little. It can often be the case that you want to change the colors of the texts, add icons, or even variable values.
With this plugin, you can easily customize your texts in the windows using escape codes as in the message box!

Features

• Use escape codes in any window!

How to use

You can use Auto mode on plugin parameters, and all text will be converted automatically.

If you set to Manual mode, you have to choose a tag of your choice in the plugin parameters.

Then, just type the tag as the first letter in any text.

Example:
-Actor name
§\c[3]Harold

*NOTE¹: Not all codes can work outside the message box, such as waiting for frames or opening the gold window.

*NOTE²: Using escape codes in centralized texts, in horizontal windows (like the item category) ends up decentralizing them. I don't know how to fix this(without overwriting a lot of the default code), I made a few attempts and you can try to enable it in the plugin parameters. But I can't guarantee that someday I'll make a repair that works wonderfully.
If you want to keep text-centered, try to use spaces for now, or leave them for good.

*NOTE³: There are some windows that I do not add the global text functionality because it messes with the text.
Window_Shop, Window_ItemList, Window_NumberInput, Window_SkillList.

Hi! I'm using this plugin, but I noticed a bug.
The quantity number of items, weapons, etc., it is displayed wrong like so:

I'm sorry @Eliaquim, I forgot to say that I used the MV version of the plugin (Eli_SuperText) in RPG Maker MV 1.6.2

Version 1.2.0 - 04/11/2021 (MV ONLY)
- Fixed the issue that some windows did not properly draw the items.
- Changed the plugin name from SuperText to GlobalText.

- Fixed the issue that some windows did not properly draw the items.
- Changed the plugin name from SuperText to GlobalText.

Now the quantity numbers of items are displayed correctly:

But now some windows are messed up like the Options menu and other windows of other plugins.
For example, without any other plugin installed but only your Global Text plugin, in the Options menu the texts are not aligned anymore.

Yeah, that probably will happen on most custom windows if you use the auto mode parameter. I can try to add a plugin parameter later for you to choose what windows will not use the global feature.

That's why I put an alert on the plugin help file:

To avoid that is better if you use the manual mode.

Oh, thanks! I didn't know that! Using the manual-mode fixes the problem of custom windows.

God, I was taking a look at the default rm code... and it seems they choose to draw the text a little different than it is drawn on the window. At least that is what I realize taking a quick look. I will try to look deeper into it and see what I can do.

I manage to found what the problem is but didn't have the time to think and implement a solution yet. But when I do, I will put it here ^^

Extension plugin: EliMZ_GoldIcon.js - Version 1.0.0 - 11/25/2021

This plugin makes the necessary adjustments to let you replace the currency of your game with an icon, and properly replace it on every default part of the game.

Just need to make that on the currency, and choose the icon you want:

Version 5.0.0 is not compatible with my plugins that are below the 5.0.0 versions.

Version 5.0.1 - 02/08/2022

  • Fixed a behavior that was executing the function that converts escape characters more than it should. And that maybe could affect other plugin escape characters. But that is fixed now.

There is a section on the help file telling you that it does not work on some windows:

The battle enemy name and the battle status are not windows. Their are drawn using sprites, so that's why it did not work there.
On RPG Maker MV the battle status was a window(don't know for sure if the enemy name too). But on MZ their are different.

But I guess now I found a way to fix that, it's a little boring to do, but I will do it someday.
I will let you know when I update it here.
