+1 to the walking animation of the red head girl being super cute. And can definitely feel the Breath of Fire inspiration!

Updated one of my oldest sprites.
Fun fact, she started of as an oc of a friend who really loved Bof.
I liked the concept he showed and before anyone could remove the tablet from me she was born.

It reminds me a lot of Breath of Fire III, one of my most loved games I ever played. A classic of classics!

Thank you, the breath of fire series is one of the biggest inspirations for the game =3

We are also going to add customization of the protagonist.
at the moment though you can only change colours of the default hair, skin and clothes.
Extra hairstyles has to wait to a later time as each new hairstyles give a load of extra work =P
(animations!)

I started making pixelart as a teenager around 14 years ago. Though had years of breaks from it in my 20s doing 3d.
So my real amount is likely 6 - 8 years for pixelart. :kaohi:

Depends on size, the average sprites I make for our game are around 100 pix tall, and they take around 1 - 2 hours to make.
The bigger one though like Dylan who is around 130 pix took around 3 hours.
For a walk cycle though, 6 - 8 frames 8 directions it takes me around 12 - 16 hours.
Every sprite is made from scratch as well, I decided to not make a template since it gives a very different aesthetic when each sprite can be a diffrent height and bodyshape/size. And in the end it does not save me much time in production. :kaohi:

welp, thanks to Luna MV, I was able to add the Balloon as a window... thus allowing me to edit the font color and outline... so now it looks like comic bubbles above characters. I have NO idea why I couldn't get this to work through more conventional means, but here we are.
