RPG Maker Forums
Heya!
Just recently discovered that there's a part of this forum dedicated for introducing yourself so I may just go ahead and do that

I'm AnWe, soon to be a 23-year old guy who recently discovered RPG Maker. I have absolutely zero experience when it comes to game developing but I'm very keen on learning all of it's different aspects. When I'm not lurking the forums or getting confused in RPG Maker I usually listen to music, write scripts for games/movies (working a lot with an old friend of mine who's studying script writing at a University level), watch anime or play games. Built up a somewhat vast library on Steam, something I regret at this very moment since most of the money could have been spent on either tileset or music packs.
I'm also one of the two members of Hypnotic Dreams Studios, the other one being Tsuzuya. At the current state I'm a jack of all trades, even though I'm not very good at any of the trades, but it would seem like my role further on will be writing the stories of our upcoming titles, (trying) to create working scripts and mapping to some extent. We'll have to see further down the road.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
