Hello!

I wanted to ask if it is possible to raise the percentage etc of random encounters by having certain items in your inventory.

Example:

Monster: Fox
Encounter rate: 5%

with the Item " Fox Light"

Encounter rate: 10%

Thank you for your help!

Could you be a bit more specific, because normally the rate of random encounters is established by the average number of steps taken, not percentages of something.

The easiest way I can think of to attempt to do this is to have evented encounters where one of the pages checks for that item in players' inventory.  Although you wouldn't be able to have more than 1 encounter boosting item working simultaneously per map this way.

If they're random encounters, you can only do it with a script mod.

I ment the chance with which the troups show up, I'm using the german version so i dont know how it's called in the english version, translation would be "weighting".

So i keep my eyes open for a script, or write my own if i can't find something usefull.

Thank you all for your answers!

In the english version, it's called "weight", and it doesn't work with percentages because percentages need a value for 100% and the weight values can be added to any number (only if you create the encounter table in a way that the total sum of all weights is 100, only then will have the same numbers - but that is basically a needless calculation.

Tsukihime has a script that allows you to dynamically change the encounter tables ingame - that's the only way I know of to change those values (they're usually fixed with the map)

So after completing the Mass Effect Trilogy the first time as a Vanguard, I decided to replay the trilogy as a Soldier. Thus far, I've just finished the Horizon mission in ME2, and I'm already exhausted from ME2's f**k-awful enemy design.

I can't stop buying resource packs I'll never use, or engines for that matter, or free resources as my two terabyte external will attest. I am a digital hoarder I guess. Some people get drunk off the silly juice when they are bored, I just buy shiny digital nonsense I don't need.
