Encounters While Moving

Hello,


I'm looking for a plugin that allows random encounters while the player is moving by Set Move Route.


For instance, when I make the player move from one side of the dungeon to the other automatically, I would like random encounters to happen (they don't by default, apparently).


Thanks, leave a note if and how you'd like to appear in the credits of a (hopefully) commercial game.

I'm no expert on this(a tad rusty), but are you meaning you'd like an encounter after the force-move, or you'd like the ability of a random encounter in the area they move to?


Also, are you moving the character tile-by-tile, or by teleportation(I honestly don't know what set move route is)?


Assuming I understand what you mean, I don't think a Plugin is necessary.

I actually meant "Set Movement Route...", the event command, where I can tell the character to Move Down and such.


I'm moving the character tile-by-tile, and I'd like the ability to enable random encounters while the player is in the middle of moving to their destination.

I'm not sure why, but it seems like the engine doesn't consider scripted movement to actually count as steps in the random encounter step counter, thus not triggering any attempts of random encounters. I managed to make it work in one instance(but it had an instant encounter at the start), but not again. Not sure why. I'll keep looking though, but it may require a plugin after all(and I can't help you at that point).

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it does require a plugin of some sort, I've asked for this back when I was doing my project in VX Ace.

Have you tried YanFly On Map Encounters ??

I'm looking more for a plugin that allows random encounters while scripted movement is being set, while Yanfly's On Map Encounters plugin is to show enemies on the field.


For instance, if I were to make an event that made the player Move Down 12 times, then I want to be able to encounter enemies along those 12 steps.
