I basically need a system to calculate the weight of the player's stuff: items, armor, and weapons (include armor and weapons that are equipped, if possible). If the weight exceeds 100 lbs, the player slows down to a speed of 3 and can't dash. If the weight exceeds 200 lbs, the player slows down to a speed of 2 and can't dash.

I know this means I'll probably have to do some data punching into an array or something to assign a weight to each individual item.

weight of the player's stuff
There are three scripts that I have that does this.
Raizen - Lune Item Weight
Xail - Inventory Weight
Crystal Engine - Equipment Weight
If you can't find them, let me know, or just grab them from these zip files

RMMV
this could also be done w/ events (which is not true of everything scripts/plugins can accomplish, but is of this), scripts are probably, but not necessarily the more streamlined/easier/"cleaner" way, but you'd learn more about game dev from eventing it.

I'm not the person who asks the original question, but can I ask Crystal engine's equipment weight script?
I desperately need a script which check only equipment weight but CrystalNoel's own archive doesn't contain vxa scripts anymore.
Thanks in advance for your generosity!

Ah, it's okay. Very very nice that you have all of them. It'll be an enormous advance for my game. Have a nice day!

Yes it does, it's just that all of her scripts are behind Adfly links.
If you can manage to get through them then the script will be shown.
Or you can grab the archive I uploaded which has the scripts in there as well.

*Looks like the files are all gone. Just grab the grouped scripts file in the archive.

I have an idea, I am making low polygon 3D resources for a package in itch. but it occurred to me that I could export these as images and make MV / MZ compatible tilesets. What do you think of this?
I hate seeing threads where less-experienced user's ask for an opinion of their project, and the thread is full of negative feedback by others who are clearly not the target audience. I feel bad for the OP, and I hope they understand that no game can appeal to everyone. :frown:
