Endings

I should clarify my statement earlier. While I think that having an ending worked out is good for direction, it's not exactly how I do it myself. I try to think of all the major plot points and twists I want to have in my game, the major events. Then I connect the dots between them, going from one chapter to the next if you will. It takes the burden off of having to have a complete start and end right away, since I would plan out steps [2] to [n - 1] (n being the total number of steps).

I've been thinking about it, and maybe you could set it up like an epilogue? have a mini quest to reunite the people for an "anniversary of our world not being entirely destroyed" party, or something, so the player can see which npcs survived and how the towns are being rebuilt, and how friendships/relationships have progressed or whatever. I think as a player I'd really love something like that - by the time you've played a whole game, you're super invested in the story and the characters, and it'd be awesome to see how they're all doing after the main event is all over
I really like the idea of having some form of reunion, perhaps a few years after the villain’s defeat. Plus I was thinking that I could have post-game quests where you can renovate cities and see them slowly rebuild over time.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
