I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. The spells have plenty of power. upload_2018-2-7_9-57-19.png
My characters have no magic defense whatsoever, and the enemies' stats seem good enough to do at least something.

Yet their spells still do zero damage.upload_2018-2-7_9-59-17.png
Am I missing something?? What am I doing wrong here? I've been trying to fix this problem for about forty minutes now with no results. Please, can someone explain what I'm supposed to do?

Try making the skill stats more like this. You can scale up SP cost and Power to fit your spells.
If that doesn't work then check the magic attack for your players.

That's very strange.......Oh! When you do battle test, did you have the characters' levels set up to 50 or something? If not, check their equipment.

The battle formula for skills.

Force = Skill's force
+ (A's attack power × skill's attack power F ÷ 100)
- (B's physical defense × skill's physical defense F ÷ 200)
- (B's magic defense × skill's magic defense F ÷ 200)
  • Minimum force: 0
Magic uses int and without a demo I couldnt tell you what's going on because I don't know what your characters stats are and so on. Thomas may also be right.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
