What would be the best way to provide enemies with automatic innate states at the beginning of battles? Unfortunately I cannot make use of Troop Events on Turn 0 because it would mess with a script i'm using, thus giving states to wrong enemies.

Check tsukihime's scripts. I think she wrote a script for applying states before combat starts, but I don't remember if that script was for actors or enemies or both

The script could be applied to anyone, actor or enemy.

What kind of script are you using? How would it affect the script?

I'm not sure of this script you're using.  But if it's just the specific condition Turn 0 you have to avoid, you may want to try inflicting states on Turn 1 + 1 instead.  You may also want to try setting up a switch condition on Page 1 in your battle event - turn on the switch before battle - and try adding states from there.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
