I tried searching for this, but all I got was stuff about "battling on touch." I don't want to battle, I want game over.

So I have my character, and a few enemies. I have a really simple event: I set "Trigger" to "Player Touch", and put "Game Over" in the Event Commands.

In :Autonomous Movement".:

Type: Custom

Move Route: Move Toward Player

Speed:Fastest

Freq:Higher

(Not sure if any of that will help, but just in case...)

But It's not working. They follow me just fine, but it only goes to "Game Over" if you actually move right into them.

If you stand still, and they catch you, nothing happens. If you moving, and they catch you (as long as your not running into them) nothing happens.

How do I fix that.

PLEASE, IF I NEED A SCRIPT FOR THIS DON'T COMMENT "You need a script!" UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY HAVE THE SCRIPT OR A LINK TO ONE.

Thanks :)

RMMV
What if you need a script but there isn't one written already? It is perfectly valid for someone to say "you need a script" without providing a link to one or writing one for you - you can search just as easily as anyone else. They are still saving you time by letting you know not to wait around, which is better than not saying anything because they don't have the skills or time to write one.

Change Autonomous Movement to Approach rather than Custom, and set the speed to Fastest. It does the same thing, in fewer steps (and fewer lines of code to execute those steps).

Set your trigger to Event Touch, rather than Player Touch. Player Touch only triggers when you touch the event. Event Touch triggers when you touch the event OR the event touches you.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
