I'm not really good at this whole forum thing so I'll just get straight to my issue. I'm working on this enemy for my game, but the sprite I made is too big and appears cut off at the top.

I was wondering if there was any way to make the sprite appear behind the text box so I could possibly avoid making a new sprite or cutting anything off. I attempted making the screen bigger to make room, but that only led to him appearing in the upper left corner, still cut off. Is there something in the scripts I could possibly change to move him down a bit further?

Did you try lowering him in the troop editor in the data base....?that may work.

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. But the editor only allows you to move the sprite around within the small space above the text box.

It shouldent be too much trouble to resize without degrading the image much. You shouldn't have to make a whole new one.

Im not too familiar with VXA scripts, but it depends greatly on Viewports.  If the Text and Sprite are in the same Viewport, then it should be possible, moderately easily with scripts, by adjusting the "Z" value.  If they are not on the same Viewport however, then having control over the order of layering will be dependant on the order the Viewports are updated.  Last goes on top.

I think you may have to go with a script, like Luna Engine (if you're an accomplished scriptor) or Yanfly Engine Ace (if you're more of a novice)

Also, that battler image will haunt my nightmares forever.
Well, I don't have any scripting experience and I don't see anything in the Yanfly Engine that could help me. I'm just trying to move the battler further down behind the menu.

Does your image have "empty space" around it or is it trimmed?

RMMV
Is this particular enemy called in a random battle, or an event that has a Battle Processing command?

What is the id of the troop, and is this the only enemy in the troop?

This enemy has a Battle Processing command. It's the only enemy in the troop.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
