Greetings!

I recently lauched a demo of my game, which features many of Yanfly's plugins, encrypted with Enigma Virtual Box to have it all as a single executable.

For this game, I use Yanfly's Animated SV Enemies plugin to give special animations to the game bosses, but a player told me the animation doesn't show, being replaced by a black square instead. However, two other players can see the animations perfectly fine and they all have downloaded the game from the same site.

Anyone knows why this could be happening?

If they're using the same download and some see it and some don't, I'd be looking at what device they're playing on - what platform, what are the specs? Might be possible that the images just aren't loading quickly enough? Do you have spaces in any of the file names?

All the files that player can't see have their names separated by an underscore (SV_"Charactername"), I only found one image with a space in its name and it's not a sideview animation. At this moment, the demo is only available for Windows. I'll ask the player with the problem about the specs of his pc.

As Shaz said above, such an error usually means that the browser couldn't load the data for the picture.
But there can be several reasons why that happens, most of them are already mentioned above.
1) slow loading - if the file is large and the computer specs are low, it can be that the loading of the pictures required for the animation is not yet complete
2) illegal filename or folderpath - for a HTML5-game, all filenames and foldernames have to follow networking rules for naming, or the browser will have problems loading them.
The space mentioned above is only one of the forbidden letters however, there are other rules. And they not only apply to the filename, they apply to the entire folderpath that leads to that filename.
All non-latin letters are forbidden, and a very limited number of special signs like !$_ can be used.
The browser simply cannot handle the other letters (which is also the reason why a space is replaced by %20 on all browser error messages, it can't even handle a space in those cases).
In a regular game that difference could be the folder where the game is stored, but I don't know how enigma handles this - it will create a temporary replacement path for the hidden files and that path should be OK, but I'm not sure about that.
3) other devices handle the networking rules differently than Windows, that is why Shaz asked - but since you're windows only there is no need to look there for the cause.

They could be running on a non Windows machine using an emulator, @Andar ?

Also, if it was something to do with file names, wouldn't all users have the same issue (if they're all running on the same device)? And if it was a path name, wouldn't this user have similar issues with other images as well and not just the SV ones?

SV battler images are quite a bit larger than most others, so that may be it (time it takes to load).

The black square is interesting - I wonder if that's actually that common problem with the icons and nothing to do with the SV actors at all. How large is your icon sheet (how many rows)? There is a limit to how big you can make it, and anything over that will cause black squares above your battlers.

I think reason 1 would be the case, the sv actors files I use for the enemies are quite big and the largest ones already gave a bit of lag to my testers, but I never saw a case in which they wouldn't load. Is guess there's little I can do if the problem comes from the player compluter specs.

My IconSet file has 23 rows, 16 32x32 icons long. I proved sending that player another version of the game with a resized IconSet so it's the default size, but he stil has the same problem, the bosses animated with the Animated SV Enemies plugin showing up as black squares, while the normal enemies show up fine.

Don't forget, aspiring writers: Personality isn't what your characters do, it is WHY they do it.
Hello! I would like to know if there are any pluggings or any way to customize how battles look?
I was thinking that when you start the battle for it to appear the eyes of your characters and opponents sorta like Ace Attorney.
Sadly I don't know how that would be possible so I would be needing help! If you can help me in any way I would really apreciate it!
