Anything with a retro 90s vibe is right up my alley. Looks very similar to some PSX/Saturns RPGs. I dig it.

So, worked a lot on the game the past month, and I'm happy to show of some new things! First of all, I worked hard on building the main city Belrynna. I already built the houses and areas before, but you'll spend a good deal of time in Belrynna, exploring the city, visiting the shops, carrying out sidequests, discover hidden areas etc.

Right now I'm trying to make the city as vivid as possible. I want to let the city evolve and make the npc's live a life there so that throughout the game you feel like you can discover new stories, places and items here. What games did a good job in this field in your opinion? Let me know! :)

Kato15s finished the character art for Eniko. The identity for this character shall remain a mystery for now, once the demo is ready I can reveil more!

here are a couple recent screenshots. If everything goes well I should be at the point to look for some people to beta test the tech demo in 1-2 months. Around summer I want to release a full story demo and maybe a full release around the holidays is possible? Still a lot of if's on that statement, but up to the tech demo i'm fairly confident I can keep up the schedule.

Before I can release the first demo, I need to finish 4 sidequests. This post celebrates sidequest 1/4 is now done!

(After i'll also need to work with a better coder then myself to squish some bugs and then find some beta testers before moving to a public demo, but... Hooray progress!)

Another sidequest done, another update post! I might go with 3 sidequests done for the first version of the demo. The faster I get technical and content feedback the better a this point I think.

Development pace is pretty good at the moment actually. I'm making all the inner buildings of the main city now, like the Inn above, and then I'm gonna finish up one last sidequest before I'm gonna wrap things up for the first demo. I'll share details soon on how you can sign up to beta test the demo, probably best to set up a Discord server for that.

I really love to come back and check the updates. The maps are super nice and its unique and has a style that stands out. You really utilize the MV3D to bring out a lot more in the maps which I just love. As for the soundtrack, it starts out with a feeling of mystique, followed by suspense (don't really have a better word for it) till it reaches a point of grim realization or horror. Which probably could be connected to a lot of different outcomes.

That said, I really love your project. Should make a little support banner so you can get free promotion from signatureless people like myself :D

That's the most impressive MV3D I ever see, well crafted and beautiful. I had a plan to create one, but that would be a hell of works with the ongoing projects. Very promising game! I'll play the demo once you have one. :)
